Fenced Yard and New Friends!

Hi there👋🏽 We may be new to Rover but we are no strangers to hosting dogs within our home! Since moving to the upstate, Austin and I have extensively worked in fostering dogs from local shelters to help build their confidence, trust in humans, and just getting to learn how to enjoy being a dog! We have avid experience with tripods, senior pooches, hyper doggos, and have even had a litter of puppies born in our home. Helping animals is our passion, as is aiding our community when it comes to ensuring their fur babies are well taken care of. We have three dogs total! We have one senior husky, Gemma, who have been with us through thick and thin. Nowadays, Gemma is deaf and mostly keeps to herself preferring to nap in the grass or on one of our many couches. She is very easy and laid back and will likely only interact with new guests when everyone is outside. Peach, our lab mix, was dumped along with her family on our street a few years ago. After finding everyone their own forever families (including her mama who gave birth in our bedroom), we decided Peach had found her home with us. She is 3 now and can be a bit shy but loves a good game of chase! Her soul sister, Nova, was a foster fail at Greenville Humane and the two are now inseparable. You can find them on most nice days, laying out on our deck or staying cool under the trees. During the summer months we usually bring out a kiddie pool which becomes the new focal point for playtime. The two are our welcoming committee when it comes to new faces. They are who your pooch will likely be spending the most time with during boarding should they decide playing is how they want to spend their doggy vacation. ⛱️ Because of our pack, we are skilled in understanding a dog’s body language and what their needs are. Although dogs cannot speak, they communicate in other ways and listening to their wants and needs is how trust and stability is built within our home. We also are well-versed in escape artists and are sure to check for any weak points in our backyard as well as ensuring doors are closed and holding tight to leashes. No one is getting loose on our watch! Since we have quite a pack with differing personalities, we understand adding another pooch even if for a day requires time, patience, and boundaries. We are extremely skilled in integration for the safety of everyone’s babies. What can you expect if you board with us? You can expect your dog to be treated with respect, love, and plenty of attention. We want it to feel like a home away from home and while your dog is under our care, they will be treated like family. We enjoy taking photos and videos so you can expect an abundance of snapshots documenting their furry vacation. We will also be sure to provide a daily summary, letting you know how your fur baby spent their day. 📸 With enough dog beds to fit a small classroom, an abundance of toys, fresh water, and a 6 foot tall fully fenced backyard, what are you waiting for? Turn around, your dog’s got their bags packed already! 🧳🐶

We are so pleased with Bo's visit to your home. It was very apparent that he was welcomed and treated as though he was in our own home. I know he really appreciated the blueberry muffins.

Jacquelin and Austin were absolutely wonderful! They were a perfect fit for our pup Murphy because he got to socialize with other dogs and play outside in their fenced in yard! They made us feel 100% comfortable leaving our boy in their home and kept in touch with photos and videos. He was made to feel like a part of their family and I will absolutely be booking with them in the future! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Jacqueline & Austin were outstanding. We were very comfortable leaving our Jack Russel Terrior (Chloe) with them for a couple of days. They sent us pictures during her stay to reassure us that Chloe had settled in well. You can tell dog lovers and they definitely are. We will keep them in mind for our next time we are in need for boarding.

Schedule

I work part-time in healthcare allowing for plenty of time to be home and watching your fur baby. Austin works in law enforcement and is zoned locally so he also frequently makes stops at home. When we are not working, we enjoy hiking, lake days, and staying home to play video games. While we have a furry guest in our home, we limit the time spent outside of the home so our new guest does not feel so alone.

A typical day

We will keep your pooch within the safety of our home so no big activities in public except maybe an occasional walk at our local park. We have enough dogs for fun in our huge yard that there is no need to introduce strange dogs or outside factors that could stress your dog out as they are already with strangers.
