I work on my laptop or phone, and can travel with it, and thus would be mostly at home with your animals. I lost my own dog in recent years, and find that I do best when I have dogs and cats to look after. I love being interrupted by a dog asking for attention and play! Walking is a joy for me. Cat cuddles are medicine. I specialize in tuning in to what anxieties need clear support and confidence to help build successful interactions. I'm all about loving and deflecting behavior towards what works. I welcome caring for animals with special dietary or medication issues. To have the company of a senior dog or a puppy is something I really look forward to. I'm editing this profile to add: I so appreciate the humans I am meeting through Rover! I do house visits, walking, and home stays. I enjoy staying overnight with animals because we can tune into each other. I try to get a sense of how the animal parent interacts with and supports their animal through daily routine, and then try to replicate that routine. I pay close attention to what they animals are saying about what they need, and what brings about their contentment.

Jackie was incredible. It was the first time traveling away from my cats that I was 100% relaxed and confident in the care they were receiving. She's thoughtful, thorough, and it's evident she has a way with animals. I have a cat who has -never- come out for a sitter, even familiar sitters, even after a week or two during longer trips, but after just 2 days with Jackie, my scaredy cat was less timid and not hiding. I'm so impressed with her. Thank you!

She was wonderful!! This was our first trip away from our little guy which we were terrified for and he had little to no problems settling down with her. Schedule
I organize my working rhythms around pet care. I enjoy having my work broken up with odd tasks and interruptions from animals. In general, providing pet care generally makes me more productive in other areas of my life. I like having a set walking and feeding schedule, and then everything flows from there. My work is portable on my laptop, so as long as I can have a perch to work at, I can be present for animals in the spaces they are accustomed to having company in.

- I very much want to know if your animal has any anxieties, such as hesitation or defensiveness around feeding, toys, pottying, where to situate themselves for rest, and other animals. If we have a chance to go through routine tasks together, and I can body map to the owners behavior, that really helps us find that happy, dependable place quickly.
