Availability
I am part-time WFH, so will be limiting my schedules to days or evenings that I know I will be home, so I can provide lots of love and outdoor excursions for pups in my care.

My house is really my dog’s house- it’s dog proof, has a good amount of space for pups to play and has more toys, brain games and other fun things (agility games!) than a pup could ever want. Dogs are welcome on my furniture and bed if you are ok with it, but I do also have a crate available should you prefer. While I don’t have a yard, I am 3 blocks from a great dog park we visit regularly and a short way from great Rock Creek trails we frequent as well. When I sit for fur friends in their homes, I do bring my dog as well, so please note I’m best able to provide client-home-based care for families that are ok with my pupper girl visiting with me for the stay 😊

Information Jacqlyn S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any fears (noises, people, squeaky toys ?, etc) and any resource guarding (toys, food). I feed pups separately, but like to know if we need to be extra sensitive.
A typical day
Dogs have free roam of my house to play. We do a minimum of 3 walks a day as well as a daily trip to the park for extra run time. I am very cautious and watchful at the dog park and know most of the dogs/owners that visit, but please let me know if you would prefer your pup does not visit the park during his/her stay.

Pet care experience
Proud dog mom, dog foster and all around dog lover. My parents brought home our first puppy when I was 2 and I have had dogs in my house almost ever since. I was blessed to have a wonderful Toy Fox Terrier journey with me through all parts of life for 16 years. I have fostered several pups (the youngest I took in at only 6 weeks) and have now have an amazing boxer/coonhound I adopted (foster fail/success!) named AWoo. I have cared for all types of dogs- big, small, young and old- and provide each with the tender loving care they deserve! AWoo is also a fantastic fur friend to dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes. She plays gentle with tiny foster puppies and will give big dogs a run for their money with her park zoomies. Honestly, I decided to open my home to Rover guests because we both have a lot of puppy love to share! I welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes, but would like to do meet and greets before any overnights or daycare to ensure that the pups get alone and your dog is comfortable with me. And, while I love every dog alive, my allergies do not, so I may have to decline a few longer haired breeds that I know I am particularly sensitive to.
Reviews

Amazing as always! Jacqlyn is great and we have a relaxed vacation knowing our pup is safe and happy!

Jacqlyn is our absolute favorite and go-to sitter for Ziggy! She absolutely adores her and loves spending time with her dog, Awoo. She always provides great updates, and we have complete peace of mind knowing Ziggy is in such caring and capable hands. We couldn’t recommend her more!

“Jacqlyn is an absolute gem! She’s the best dog sitter we’ve ever had and just an all-around wonderful person. We’re always completely at ease when she’s caring for our furbaby Max. Highly recommend her — you won’t find anyone better!

Amazing! We are so lucky to know Jacqlyn and work with her. We can go on vacation without any issues knowing she’s got our pup. Bonus: she has a great pup to keep ours company.
