I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years, starting with raising my own blue heeler, who was my companion for a full decade. Since then, I’ve house-sat and cared for pets for dozens of families across Oregon, Utah, Colorado, Puerto Rico, Brunei, and Bali. While living abroad, I often cared for street dogs and helped create safe, stable environments for animals who needed extra patience and understanding. That experience taught me how to work calmly with anxious or traumatized dogs, as well as puppies, adult dogs, seniors, and cats. I’m also comfortable administering medications, including both oral and injectable treatments when needed. What truly sets me apart is the way I show up with animals. I’m attentive, calm, and deeply respectful of each pet’s personality and emotional needs. Caring for animals genuinely brings me joy, and my goal is not only to help pets feel safe and relaxed, but to give owners real peace of mind — knowing their home and their animals are in steady, caring hands while they’re away.

Jacob was awesome with my pups. He was willing to come meet them prior due to me never using Rover before. He sent photos of them during play time and was great at communicating.
Jacob is such a caring dog sitter. He truly loves animals and spending time with them. He has watched our dog Charles many times - Charles isn’t the easiest dog to watch but we knew he was in good hands with Jacob. Jacob is very attentive, loves to play with dogs, great at getting walks in, and making sure our pup is happy. He is great at following any directions for caring for our pup and he can administer medications. He is very responsible and communicative. We’ve used him as a dog/house sitter many times and will continue using him!

I work remotely so if I am caring for your home as well, I can care for your pets all day if I have the opportunity!

- Before a booking, I like to learn a little about your pet’s routine and personality so I can keep things feeling familiar for them. Feel free to share anything helpful - medications, training cues, quirks, fears, or anything else you think I should know ahead of time. I’m comfortable working with pets of all breeds, ages, and energy levels, and I always adjust my care to what helps each animal feel safe and happy.
