A typical day
I like fun exercises like fetch, and hide-and-seek with treats. Tug-of-war is great for muscle workouts. Hiking/walking together are perfect for the outdoorsy energy types (while being careful with the AZ extreme heat). Mix obedience training and interactive toys to keep them engaged. I’m willing to tailor activities to fit their needs and ensure they stay hydrated and take breaks.

Growing up on a small farm, my connection with animals and nature began early on. I've spent countless hours tending to livestock and nurturing crops, which instilled in me a deep appreciation for the delicate balance of life and the beauty of the natural world. That upbringing has left me with a strong sense of responsibility and empathy for all living beings, and its what shapes my approach to pet care. My military experience has further molded my character, reinforcing values like discipline, reliability, and dedication. Through my service, I learned the importance of attention to detail and quick adaptability to various situations. These traits have proven to be invaluable in the world of pet care, where being attentive and responsive to each animal's needs is absolutely crucial. Combining my love for life, nature, and animals is what keeps me excited about being a pet sitter. What truly sets me apart is my genuine love for animals and nature. This isn't just a task for me, it’s a way of life. Nurturing the well-being of pets and creating enriching experiences for them is what fulfills me. Whether we're playing fetch, sharing quiet cuddles, or engaging in mental stimulation training sessions, seeing pets happy and thriving is a great reward. I'm also new to Rover, and being a pet sitter gives me the chance to earn some extra money to cover school expenses and bills. Photography is my other passion, and when I'm not taking care of pets, you'll often find me behind the camera, capturing life's beautiful moments. Speaking of pets, I'm a proud owner of two adorable golden retrievers. They're my furry best friends and have taught me so much about love and loyalty. Just like I care for my own dogs, I treat every pet I look after as if they were part of my family – showering them with love, attention, and respect. Jacob treated Buddy like he was his own!! Buddy became part of the pack!! Helped me out with Booking short notice and flexible with my schedule! When meeting for drop off Jacob and his gf Taylor made me feel comfortable with leaving Buddy with him for the visit! And also Sent updates and pictures with how buddy was doing!! Buddy looked like he was having a blast in all the pictures! It seemed like Buddy went on vacation at Jacob’s house! I Will definitely book again in the future!
Jacob did a fantastic job watching our pup! We got excellent updates and he was very flexible. I can tell she was well taken care of and had a wonderful time playing with his dogs
it is always extremely difficult leaving our boy, but Jacob and Taylor were so caring and kind to our sweet pup. You can tell they absolutely adore animals and it really shows. They have such sweet dogs that our boy loved to hangout with. They were so communicative and sent us photos all week which we really appreciated. We will be return customers for sure. Couldn’t recommend them more!
