Safety, trust & environment

I pride myself on creating a positive experience for every pet I interact with. New people can be frightening, especially when they’re invading your space and your parents are nowhere to be found. I get it! I can promise that if I work with you and your pet, I will utilize all of my training and experience not only as a medical professional, but as a pet parent and lover of animals to create a calm, welcoming, and fun environment!

Experienced Veterinary Technician

Pet care experience

I have 4 years of experience as a veterinary technician at local clinics and currently work as an ER veterinary technician at VEG in Chapel Hill. I am Fear Free certified, meaning I’ve been trained to work with fearful, nervous, and anxious pets in a way that creates positive, low-stress experiences. I’m comfortable administering medications of all kinds—oral, eye, ear, and injectable—so you can feel confident your pet is in capable hands. I recently graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in biology and am currently applying to veterinary school. At home, I have three large dogs and a cat, so I’m very used to managing different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Whether your pet requires extra patience, medical care, or just a lot of love and attention, I’ve got it covered.

Jacob was FANTASTIC! He was proactive, attentive, communicated clearly and made sure our senior kitty had all of her medical needs met while we were away. He left everything neat and tidy, and even brought packages that got delivered inside for us. I could not be happier, and will definitely reach out if we need a kitty sitter again in the future.
