Hey! I'm Jacob and I've been looking after pets for 3 years now on Rover. I've done the whole spectrum from very young cats all the way up to senior maows! I've given oral medication to cats and dogs on numerous occasions, looked after many anxious or shy fluffy creatures and even taken a doggy to a wedding! People always say their pet doesn't usually bond to people that quickly but for some reason they are drawn to me :) - my brother has always been naturally better with animals so I'm glad when I get that reaction!

Jacob was great, super attentive to the animals and kept us updated throughout our holiday. We have a senior dog who’s blind and he was no hassle for him. Highly recommend Jacob.

Schedule
I'm currently working as a guitar teacher so I have a lot of extra time to play fetch with your doggos or stroke the cattos :)

I've stayed in so many people's homes now that I'm starting to become an expert on dishwashers, washing machines, showers and TV's! On a serious note I'm always respectful, reliable and treat every home I stay in with care. When I'm looking after your pets in your home, I aim to keep things running smoothly and calmly so they feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. I understand the trust it takes to let someone stay in your space, and I always make sure to leave everything as tidy (or tidier! And sometimes with cookies) than I found it. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, feeding routines, or just quiet company, I’ll make sure your pets feel loved and looked after while you're away :)

A typical day
I like to make sure pets are not just looked after, but also genuinely enjoying themselves while their humans are away. For dogs, I’ll tailor our time to their energy levels—whether that’s long walks, games of fetch, sniffing adventures, or just chilling in the sun together. For cats, I’ll respect their moods: some love a good play session with a feather toy, others just want someone nearby for company. I’m also happy to spend quiet time with any pet who prefers a slower pace—reading a book while they snooze nearby is one of my favourite things. I always try to keep things relaxed, safe, and fun, so your pet feels content and cared for.
