I am an animal lover at heart, and get great joy from spending time with pets of all kinds. I've done plenty of pet sitting & walking for neighbors and family friends over the years, as well as numerous clients from Rover since mid 2022, and I love it! I have cared for rambunctious pups who don’t know how to slow down, to lazy old dogs who need to be coaxed into a walk and take medications. I’ve cared for a handful of cats, some requiring medications and plenty of human attention, others that do their own thing. Being as comfortable as I am with different animals & their personalities, I am confident in my ability to provide your pets with the proper care and an abundance of love and affection. Not to mention, I arguably enjoy their company just as much if not more than they enjoy mine!

Safety, trust & environment
I am comfortable with both on and off leash walks and commands as well as E-collars, whichever is most suitable for your pet with a new person. I love to play, and I will throw a ball, tug a toy, go for walks, take a ride, or just chill on the couch if that's what they want to do. I love to pickup on their different personalities and mannerisms, and sometimes it just feels easier to communicate with them than people. I generally just enjoy my time with them, keep them fed & happy, and try to stick to their regular routine to keep everything smooth. I also have a list of questions I typically ask owners ahead of time to make sure it’s a good fit & to get as much important info as I can before providing care.

Worked out great!
Jacob is a fantastic dog sitter. We were gone for three weeks, and he did a great job taking care of our elderly dog, all the while maintaining the house. We came home to find a happy, healthy pet and an immaculate house. He's a pleasure to work with and has an easygoing personality. We highly recommend Jacob.

Jacob did an outstanding job caring for our older dog. He stayed in our home for two weeks while we were out of the country. He left the house in immaculate condition. Jacob gave Mr. Ruggles regular walks and lots of attention. Jacob is responsible, communicates well, responded to our questions promptly and clearly had genuine affection for our dog. Schedule
I am currently working full time & can only accept sits/drop ins with pets who are accustomed to that schedule. In the fall I also coach soccer, so I have some afternoon practices & occasional games to work around.
