I grew up on a farm in South Africa with both my parents as practicing veterinarians, so I’ve been around animals my whole life. I have ample experience caring for dogs and cats—from feeding, walking, and playtime to giving extra love and attention. I’ve cared for pets of friends and family regularly, and I treat every furry friend as part of my own family. I’m outdoorsy and love spending time walking and playing with pets. I’m also comfortable with puppies, BIG dogs, senior dogs, and animals with special needs, and I prioritize making them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away.

I treat every pet as part of my family, whether in my home or yours. In my home, pets have a safe, fenced yard to play in and plenty of space to explore. I supervise all playtime and walks to ensure safety and comfort. In clients’ homes, I follow their routines and instructions closely, making sure pets feel secure, happy, and loved.

Jaco had excellent communication and was very willing to try and accommodate my scheduling needs. He sent pictures and updates and I was grateful to know my pup was in good hands.
Jaco has looked after our dogs Ruby and Rambo on multiple occasions over the past several years. On many occasions, for more than a month at a time. Jaco is a real "dog-person" - having grown up with dogs, with veterinarians as parents, he is very comfortable with having animals in the house and part of the family. He is always genuinely excited to see our animals, and I know he loves looking after them! He is like their favorite uncle and get super-excited when they see him. They snuggle up to him and I know have snuck into the bed to nap together. He always keeps us up to date too. I would highly recommend Jaco to care for your pets - he treats animals with love and respect, just like another member of your family.
I can honestly say that I trust Jaco with my dogs almost more than I trust myself. He is kind, conscientious, and yet also in charge. My dogs utterly adore him. Due to a mess of scheduling conflicts we actually asked him to pick up our old rescue pup from the vet after getting TWELVE TEETH EXTRACTED. It was unimaginable that we wouldn't be there to pick him up, but Jaco swept in and saved the day and took care of sweet old Joey like he was his own.
Jaco is an awesome pet sitter and a cmplete natural when it comes to animals. He’s been our go-to sitter for Ruby, our energetic 2-year-old female Jack Russell, and it’s clear he genuinely enjoys spending time with pets. Jaco is reliable, attentive, and always makes sure Ruby gets plenty of exercise, stimulation, and affection. We trust him completely and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring, responsible sitter on Rover. He’s not just dependable—he’s also incredibly intuitive when it comes to animal behavior. Ruby can be a handful, but Jaco handles her with calm confidence and a great sense of humor. Schedule
I’m self-employed, which gives me a flexible schedule to care for pets. I can easily work around morning and early afternoon playtime, walks, and feedings. The evenings are more challenging as I have feed, play and bath time with kids of my own 😊 . Please reach out as I could always try and coordinate so your pets get the attention and love they deserve.
