I spent my entire childhood around animals: dogs, cats, horses. We constantly took in strays and found homes for them. When I went to college, I got two cats but also started working at a veterinarian's office. I worked the front desk and assisted the Vet Techs and Drs as needed. I worked at Banfield Pet Hospital for 4 years. Currently I volunteer at the neonatal kitten nursery at Best Friends Animal Society and foster with Cats at the Studios. I also have fostered many cats and kittens over the years and have a lot of knowledge of cats. I can take care of sick pets including medicating, giving fluids, etc as I do this with my fosters. I am comfortable around all types of dogs and cats - large or small and even those who are nervous and need special attention (I socialize semi-feral kittens). Cat Knowledge - Because of having my own cats since 2006 and fostering kittens (from birth on), I have a lot of knowledge and experience with handling cats of all ages. I am constantly self-teaching myself about medical issues as my cats age and their needs change. I am also familiar with behavioral issues cats can have including nervousness/anxiety that occurs with a new person in a cats' home. 100% of time will send photo updates (Rover's percentage is not accurate as I sometimes send photo updates to a client's non-Rover number if requested). I am unable to work at homes of smokers. I am allergic.
