Safety, trust & environment
In my role as a pet sitter, I prioritize creating a comfortable and safe environment for pets in their own homes. I follow the specific care routines and preferences outlined by the pet owner to ensure consistency and familiarity for the pet. This includes adhering to feeding schedules, maintaining exercise routines, and providing regular playtime and companionship. I am attentive to the pet's needs, monitoring their behavior and health, and ensuring they have access to fresh water at all times. I also maintain a clean and organized space, including regular waste disposal and cleaning up after playtime. Communication with the pet owner is key; I provide updates on their pet's well-being and any notable activities or concerns. My goal is to minimize stress for both the pet and the owner, ensuring a positive experience for everyone involved.
Ratings and reviews
Jaclyn has been around dogs her entire life. She is a natural when it comes to getting dogs' attention and recognition. She would love nothing more than to spend time walking dogs during her weekly schedule, and the dogs would certainly benefit from it as well.

- 1 Basic Info: ◦ Name, age, breed, and sex of the pet. This helps you understand their general needs and temperament (e.g., a young Labrador might need more exercise than an older cat). 2 Health and Medical Needs: ◦ Any medical conditions (e.g., allergies, arthritis, diabetes) and medications (dosage, timing, and how to administer them). ◦ Recent injuries or surgeries and any activity restrictions. ◦ Vet contact info in case of emergencies. 3 Diet and Feeding: ◦ What they eat, how much, and how often. Are there specific brands or homemade foods? ◦ Treat preferences and limits (to avoid overfeeding). ◦ Any food allergies or items they absolutely shouldn’t have (e.g., chocolate, grapes). 4 Routine and Habits: ◦ Daily schedule (walks, feeding times, nap times) to keep them comfortable and reduce stress. ◦ Exercise needs—how long, how often, and favorite activities (e.g., fetch, chasing a laser pointer). ◦ Potty habits (where they go, any signals they give). 5 Behavior and Personality: ◦ Are they friendly, shy, anxious, or territorial? This helps you approach them appropriately. ◦ How do they react to strangers, other pets, or kids? ◦ Any quirks, like chewing shoes or hiding under furniture, and how to handle them. 6 Training and Commands: ◦ Basic commands they know (e.g., sit, stay, come) and how consistent they are. ◦ Leash behavior (do they pull? Are they reactive to other dogs?). 7 Safety and Boundaries: ◦ Are they escape artists? Do they need a secure yard or crate? ◦ Any off-limits areas in the home (e.g., rooms, furniture). ◦ Collar/harness preferences and whether they’re microchipped. 8 Comfort Items: ◦ Favorite toys, blankets, or spots they love for relaxation. ◦ Do they need a crate, bed, or specific setup to feel secure? 9 Emergency Preferences: ◦ What to do if something goes wrong (e.g., call the owner first, head straight to the vet). ◦ Backup contacts if the owner isn’t reachable. 10 Special Instructions: ◦ Anything unique to the pet—like a cat that only drinks from a running faucet or a dog that needs a belly rub to calm down.
