I work full time Monday through Friday and primarily work remotely, which allows me to work from a client’s home when pet sitting. This means I can be present and attentive throughout the day. I typically only go into the office about once per week and plan my schedule to ensure pets receive consistent care and attention. I am also available on weekends and can accommodate drop-in visits, walks, extended stays, and routine care.

I provide pet care exclusively in clients’ homes, allowing pets to remain in a familiar, low-stress environment while maintaining their normal routines. I do not offer boarding in my own home, but I am available for overnight and extended stays in a client’s home, as well as drop-in visits and walks. When caring for pets, I follow all instructions closely regarding feeding, medication, walks, litter box or habitat care, and household rules. I prioritize safety by keeping doors and gates secure, using leashes or harnesses as directed, monitoring pets during walks and playtime, and maintaining a clean, calm environment. I take trust very seriously and treat every home with respect. I communicate regularly with updates and photos, and I am attentive to changes in behavior or health so concerns can be addressed promptly. My goal is to provide consistent, reliable care while ensuring pets feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared-for in their own space.

I do not have any breed preferences. Ahead of time, I appreciate knowing about any health conditions, medical needs, or medications your pet requires so I can provide safe and consistent care. I also ask about your pet’s behavior around other dogs and people, including any reactivity or triggers, so I can manage walks and interactions appropriately and keep everyone safe.
A typical day
A typical day is all about keeping pets happy, comfortable, and loved. I give plenty of attention and affection (at each pet’s comfort level), along with playtime, walks, enrichment, and cuddle time for pets who enjoy it. I also respect quieter pets who prefer a calmer routine and gentle companionship. My goal is to make the day feel fun, relaxed, and as close to normal as possible.

Pet care experience
My pet care experience spans many years and a wide range of pets and needs. I grew up with dogs and have spent years caring for pets of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, including puppies, seniors, shy or reactive dogs, and pets with medical or mobility challenges. One of my family dogs, a German shepherd mix, lived most of her life with partial paralysis in her back legs. I helped care for her daily using a sling, dog wheelchair, and later dog diapers, which made me very comfortable providing mobility support and senior care. I also regularly care for my cousin’s large German shepherd mix who has epilepsy and requires daily medication, and I am experienced with medication administration and seizure response. In addition, I have fostered both dogs and cats, helped care for stray or abandoned pets, and worked with animals who have experienced abuse and need patience, gentleness, and time to build trust. I’ve also volunteered with shelters, taking dogs out for walks and day adventures to give them enrichment, exercise, and affection. I care for pets as individuals and prioritize safety, consistency, and kindness. Whether a pet needs extra medical attention, emotional reassurance, or just reliable daily care, I take the responsibility seriously and treat every pet like my own.

Jackie was amazing! She exceeded expectations and helped me be able to feel a lot more comfortable during my 15 day trip away from my 2 dogs. I have a Husky and a Samoyed that have been boarded before but I wanted them to have more one on one attention. Jackie took them on walks, played with them, let them sleep with her and even cleaned their feet when one of them kept playing in the mud. She also took care of my home. She reached out if she had any questions, but for the most part she was pretty self sufficient. She sent some photos and videos. At the end of the dog/housesitting booking she made sure all of the dishes were cleaned, set aside the dirty laundry, took out the trash and even stayed a bit later to try and minimize the time that my dogs were alone before my flight arrived. I highly recommend Jackie!you won’t be disappointed.
Jackie is astounding with our precious (but high-strung) chihuahua, Sasha! Jackie gives Sasha so much warm love and attention, that Sasha regularly seeks Jackie out for comfort and companionship, even when I am around. This is a profound achievement, as anyone who knows Sasha, knows I'm her "person"... and that Sasha is typically attached to me whenever I am home. Jackie also took amazing care of our dear Shadow. Shadow was our 14 year old black lab who suffered from a spinal cord injury when she was 7 (leaving her back legs partial paralyzed for the remainder of her life). Shadow required assistance with a sling when going for walks... and about a year prior to her death, required diapering due to incontinence and mobility issues. Due to Shadow's mobility issues, Shadow couldn't always travel with us, but we always felt comfortable knowing we could leave Shadow home in Jackie's capable hands. Jackie's gentle, patient, and compassionate nature was highlighted when seeing Shadow light up every time Jackie was near. Belly rubs and long embraces were Jackie's specialty with Shadow. Additionally, Jackie never shied away from assisting with incontinence clean up, diapering, and medication management. Jackie always had our full confidence when caring for Shadow. Jackie has a natural affinity for all animals and will care for your precious fur babies with all the love and compassion you have for your own!
Jackie has babysat my dogs Daisy and Conrad multiple times and they absolutely love her! She walks them for at least 20min whenever she visits and is very responsible when it comes to portioning their food, medications and continued training. Jackie has had over 6 years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes (ranging from 10lbs-70lbs) with multiple different special needs and behaviors. Special needs include assisting paralyzed dogs with physical training, medication, helping to walk, urinate and defecate via sling or appropriate holding. She is knowledgeable on basic dog behaviors especially those with anxious personalities.
Jackie has been helping me with my 4 month old shepherd mix. She is sweet, caring, and always has enough energy to wear my little guy out. Would highly recommend to anyone in need of some extra help!
