Stress-Free Cat Sitting
I have over 13 years of hands-on experience caring for cats. During that time, I’ve raised four cats of my own and have cared for cats through all different stages of life, from young, energetic cats to seniors who need a little more patience and attention. I’ve also spent time volunteering at cat shelters, which gave me experience with cats of many different personalities and temperaments. Right now I have one cat, Blue, who is 3 years old and a huge part of my life. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable with the person looking after your cat while you’re away. I’m happy to follow whatever routine you already have in place, whether that includes feeding, litter box care, playtime, attention, or simply keeping them company and letting them enjoy their space. Cats can be pretty clear about what they’re comfortable with if you know what to look for. I try to let them set the pace instead of forcing attention, especially with cats who are shy, nervous, or just unsure about a new person being in their space. I’m also pretty used to noticing when a cat is getting overstimulated or has simply decided they’ve had enough attention for now! I also have some experience caring for dogs and will occasionally accept house sitting for dogs on a case-by-case basis. While cats are my main focus, I’m happy to care for dogs when I feel I’m a good fit for their needs and routine.

Safety, trust & environment
Cats are creatures of routine, so whenever possible, I recommend having them cared for in their own home while their owners are away. Being able to stay in a familiar environment with their usual smells, hiding spots, and routine can help make the experience less stressful for them. When I’m caring for your cat, I try to keep their routine as normal and consistent as possible. I’ll follow any instructions you leave for feeding, litter, medications, playtime, and anything else that’s part of their normal day. I’m also very careful around doors and entryways, especially with cats who are curious or like to try to sneak outside. I’ll respect your cat’s space and let them decide how much interaction they’re comfortable with rather than forcing attention. I’m also happy to send photos and updates while you’re away so you can see how they’re doing.

Schedule
I currently work part-time about four days a week, usually from 9–3 or 10–3, and my work hours are fairly flexible as well. Outside of those hours, my schedule is pretty flexible and I have plenty of availability for cat sitting, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight stays. I’m also happy to work around your cat’s normal routine and feeding schedule as much as possible.
