I like to learn as much as possible about each pet ahead of time so I can give them the best care. Things that are important to know include their feeding schedule and portion sizes, any allergies or medical needs, daily routine, favorite toys or activities, and how they do around new people or other animals. I also like to know their comfort level with walks, being alone, or being picked up/petted so I can make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while their owner is away.
A typical day
I like to tailor activities to each pet’s personality and energy level. With dogs, that can include walks, fetch, tug-of-war, and enrichment games that keep them mentally engaged. With cats, I enjoy interactive play like wand toys, laser pointers, and puzzle feeders, plus plenty of cuddle and calm companionship time if they’re more relaxed. I always make sure they get attention, stimulation, and comfort based on what they enjoy most.

I’ve grown up around both cats and dogs and currently have two cats of my own, so I’m very familiar with daily care, routines, and understanding pet behavior. Jack was absolutely amazing with my dogs. I have a blind dog as well as a Chihuahua with medical issues, so finding someone I can fully trust is incredibly important. Jack has watched my dog, Luna, a few times and has always been great. Luna gets excited when she sees him, which says a lot. He’s easy to get a hold of and replies super fast. I always feel comfortable leaving Luna with him and know she’s well taken care of. Would definitely recommend!
