I bloody love animals. No, really. Working with animals is probably the only career I could get out of bed for on a daily basis. I've looked after pets of all varieties for about 20 years. Dogs, cats, budgies, chickens, ducks, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits - I even rode horses once. I am a psychologist by profession, and have a BSc and MSc degree. I work full time as a researcher in the Leicester/Nottingham area, and work primarily with mental health and personality disorder. It is because I'm a psychologist that I realise how important it is to spend time with animals. Just their presence is invariably good for psychological well-being, and come on, a dog skidding around on a floor is better entertainment than any TV. I think these dogsitting sessions would be fantastic, as it gives me a chance to help you while your pet brings a bit of joy to someone else. I am trustworthy, responsible and hardworking, and I live in a stable home with my partner; I am fully DBS checked and have experience working with children and vulnerable groups.
