I’ve looked after dogs and cats for as long as I can remember and have always been the person friends and family rely on when they need someone dependable to care for their pets. I currently have a 3-year-old cocker spaniel called Ozzy, so I understand the importance of routine, exercise, patience and giving dogs the right balance of attention and calm. I also regularly look after my mother-in-law’s 4-year-old lab, Max, which has given me experience caring for larger, energetic dogs with different personalities and needs. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, play, overnight care and sticking closely to routines that help pets feel settled and secure while their owners are away. I know how important trust and communication are when leaving your pet with someone else, so I always aim to provide thoughtful, reliable care and regular updates throughout.

For walks and visits, I focus on keeping pets safe, settled and cared for in their usual routine. I’ll follow any instructions closely, make sure they have fresh water, food if needed, and give them attention, play or a calm walk depending on their needs. As a dog owner myself, I’m attentive to behaviour, exercise needs and giving dogs the right balance of play, structure and downtime. I always take time to understand each pet’s routine, personality and any specific requirements so they receive care that feels familiar and consistent. I’ll always keep owners updated, so you know your pet has been looked after properly while you’re out.

Jack is great at looking after my dog Ozzy who is a working cocker spaniel. Ozzy can be nervous around other dogs and children and I trust him completely with him and has been reliable for years.
Jack looked after our spaniel Alfie while we were away and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Alfie can be quite energetic and a little anxious around new people, but Jack was calm, patient and clearly very experienced with dogs. We got regular updates and photos throughout, which gave us real peace of mind. Alfie came home happy, relaxed and very well cared for. I’d happily recommend Jack to anyone looking for a reliable and genuinely caring dog sitter.

Schedule
I work from home, so my routine is very flexible and I can plan pet care around each dog’s needs. I’m available for dog walks and home visits on weekdays between 11:30am and 2pm, and I’m also available at any time on weekends. I’m happy to work around regular routines, whether that means a steady walk, a lunchtime check-in, feeding, playtime, or simply giving your pet some company while you’re out.
