After a few years of a hiatus…. I am back! I have been surrounded by animals my whole life! My mother was such a sucker for rescuing dogs and cats from shelters or even animals we saw roaming the Iowa countryside. Growing up, we had a pug who I would try to take on 2-3 walks a day. We would get around the block and then she would flop to the ground and refuse to walk anymore unless I mentioned a treat was in store for her if we went just a little bit farther. Unfortunately, she passed away about nine years ago and since then, I've moved out of my parent's house filled with two rescue dogs. Since moving out and missing a dog of my own, I’ve just been looking to get my animal fix in by helping out anyone who is in need of it. I have been babysitting children for about seven years and that often meant caring for their animals as well. I often would be their go-to house sitter/animal sitter if they were going on a trip for the weekend. Throughout my life, I have had many animals (cats, hermit crabs, dogs, hamsters, etc) but almost six years ago now, I rescued two kittens from a shelter and have enjoyed every minute of it. They bring so much joy to my life and I completely understand how our animals truly become part of the family. My care style is all about communication and trust--I want each and every client of mine to feel assured that they've left their pet in the hands of someone who they can trust but also someone who understands.

I have two cats who have grown up with a goldendoodle so they are quite familiar with dogs. In my client's homes, I treat each pet as if it were my own-- lots of attention, care, and love!

Schedule
I currently have a full-time job so I am available for early morning walks/drop-ins and evening walks/drop-ins. I do have the flexibility to work remotely as well. Feel free to reach out and see if my schedule works well with what you are looking for, more than happy to chat about it!
