Boarding: I have a fenced in yard and screened-in patio. I live in a small house so I can only accommodate up to two small/medium sized dogs from one client at a time. My two dogs are very laid-back senior couch potatoes. They keep to themselves and on occasion will be playful but overall are very lazy. :) I have two small crates that fit up to a 30lb dog. Any larger dogs will need their own crate. The dogs usually sleep either on dog beds, human beds, or are kept in a crate at night. There are four steps to climb up to go into the house from outside. There are no stairs inside the house. Feedings for adult dogs are at 9am and 9pm unless your dog requires food at a designated time due to a medical condition.

Information Jabrae L. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know about your dog's personality and daily routine. I will try to match their typical day to the best of my ability. Please note any chronic illnesses and daily medications. Please update your pets Rover profile (updated weights, meds, routine) prior to sending a booking request. I will not take any dogs with a recent history of vomiting, diarrhea, or coughing due to the potential for contagious illnesses. I will confirm this within the week of planned boarding. If your pet is anxious please request an anxiety medication from your vet prior to boarding with us. Even if your pet is not usually anxious in your home they maybe in someone else's home if they do not respond well to changes in their environment.
A typical day
Boarding: We do like to go to the dog park and walks at Ashley River Park. Please let me know if your dog does not do well in those environments or you would prefer them to stay at home. I have so many dog toys and beds. Dogs are allowed to get comfy on the couch and human beds - they should feel at home in our home.

Worry Less with a Licensed Tech
Pet care experience
A veterinary technician since 2017, I will take care of your pet with compassion and competence. I currently work three days a week at a veterinary urgent care, and I previously worked at a 24-hour emergency hospital. I can give medications - including insulin - and perform CPR. I am trained to know if there's a problem with your pet before a larger issue arises. I am a licensed veterinary technician with a veterinary technology degree from Trident Technical College. My husband also works at an animal hospital, and he takes very good care of dogs who are boarding with us. Boarding: I provide one on one care in a low stress environment instead of a loud kennel at a boarding facility. Dogs who are comfortable in my home are typically senior dogs, dogs who have a medium to low energy level or those with special needs due to a medical condition. At this time I do not board puppies. I only board from one family at a time. This means that your dog(s) are my primary focus. On occasion and with your permission, your pet may come to work with me. For this reason, I only board dogs that are comfortable in a crate. If your dog is fearful of the vet, this could be a perfect opportunity to have some happy vet visits, so that they are more comfortable for future vet visits. :) Your pet must also be up to date on vaccines and flea & tick prevention. Drop-in Visits: This is a visit to your home ranging from 30-60 minutes. This visit can include feedings, playtime, and outside time. I also offer subcutaneous fluid/medication administration*, glucose sensor placement*, and anal gland expressions for an extra fee. I offer these visits between 9am - 10pm Sunday, Monday, & Friday & 9am- 5pm on Wednesday. Pick-up/Drop-off: I will pick up or drop off your pet while boarding for an extra fee. (This service is for the Summerville, Moncks Corner, North Charleston areas only). I also foster with a local rescue when I am not boarding. My yard and house are fully sanitized between all animals. Find me on Facebook: The Pet Nanny in Summerville, SC & Let me know if you have any questions!! I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you! *These services require a veterinarian's approval.

Reviews

Jabrae was so great with my pup! She was communicative throughout his stay and was very accommodating when I had an emergency come up. Her intake process is very thorough and that made me feel so much more comfortable leaving my dog with her and her family

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Jabrae watching our dogs, Hank and Charlie, while we were away. From the start, her communication was excellent with frequent updates, photos, and messages that made it very clear our boys were not just being watched, but genuinely cared for. Hank and Charlie can be a bit… let’s call it “selectively charming,” but Jabrae handled them with so much patience, affection, and confidence. It was obvious they felt comfortable and loved, which made it much easier for us to relax and enjoy our trip instead of worrying. She was reliable, flexible, and incredibly kind, exactly the type of person you hope to find when trusting someone with your dogs. We came home to two very happy pups who may or may not have been disappointed to see us again. We wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book with Jabrae again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who treats your dogs like her own.

Jabrae was friendly and flexible. She was very communicative, sending updates and pictures. I could tell that our baby was very well cared for by her!

Jabrea took care of my two cocker while I had. Knee replacement. They came home healthy and happy. They just tend to do better on a one-on-one setting then in a kennel setting. She brought them home, got their crate set up. I got pictures from her every day. Was a such a positive experience. Thank you
