Hablo español también! I am a Coconut Grove native who has a lifetime of home experience and several years of volunteer experience caring for dogs, cats, and exotic animals. Until recently (RIP Snowball), I had a Bichon Frise as my pet for 18 years. I am expert with elderly dogs + passionate about keeping pets healthy and making sure they live long happy lives. My cat (10 years old) grew up with Snowball and has been very lonely since he passed. I would love to board new friends at our house for her to spend time with.

Jaanelle was wonderful with my pup, who is not used to being away from me. She kept me in the loop with how she was doing and sent photos and videos. She kept my dog distracted and engaged, which I’m sure was a bit of a handful. She said they practiced commands and explored the neighborhood, which I really appreciate. I definitely recommend Jaanelle, as she is caring and thoughtful, and will put in the effort to meet your dog where they’re at.
Poppi was super excited to see her favorite sitter again! Jaanelle is a human favorite too! She is consistently ready for drop off and pick up saving me precious time . I can count on photos and updates throughout the day taking any worries away! She is top of our list whenever we are in Miami!

Schedule
I work from home independently as an audio editor/sound designer for film and radio. I have headphones on for most of the day but I work flexible hours, which means I can keep an eye on pets all day long and can pause my work at any moment to take care of their needs.

Safety, trust & environment
I am a clean person who tries to leave any space I visit neater than it was before. I have a walled patio and my home is gated on all sides, so even pets who bolt out the front door have nowhere to go. My home is extremely safe and very hard to escape. I love having pets sleep in my bed with me!
Pets
A typical day
I love taking dogs out for walks around the various parks in the Grove area. We can play in my yard until they get tired or just sit together soaking in the sun if your pet is low energy! Of course I’ll bring them inside if it’s hot out or rainy. For indoor only pets, I look forward to playing with their favorite toy and curling up together with a book when we are all tired out.
