Hi! We have a 2 year old neutered male Samoyed who loves to play! We’d be happy to welcome another high energy dog or older dog to our home for a short or extended stay. We treat all dogs in our care as our own and can accommodate 1 long walk (~40 mins plus) and 2 medium walks (~20 mins each) throughout the day. Dogs will also have access to our small fenced back yard for bathroom breaks throughout the day. As a dog owner myself, I understand updates and pictures are a MUST can make the difference between enjoying your time away and worrying about your fur baby. You will receive consistent check-ins from us to ensure you have that peace of mind. Please reach out to find out if your dog has any behavioral or reactivity issues that we can accommodate - it is always important for us to do a meet up before taking on new clients to ensure our dog and your dog will be happy during the stay. I am also happy to accommodate day time care only rates for people who would like someone home with their pet during the workday or an extended day out of the house.

Ivy is an excellent pet caregiver—in particular, her experience with reactive dogs is extensive, so she can provide exercise for any dog, even if they can’t be around other dogs. I would highly recommend especially if your dog has behavioral quirks.

Schedule
I work from home and am available for round the clock pet care. My partner, nic, works hybrid and will also be available to help care for your dog! Since we have our own dog, we rarely both leave the house at the same time, and we never leave for longer than 4 hrs a day. With a high energy Samoyed, my life revolves around making sure he has the exercise and mental stimulation he needs. We’d love to have your pet join us for our 8am walk, 2:30pm walk, and 8pm evening long walk. We also take our dog to Schenley for fetch (empty field only) on the long leash - please let us know if you think your dog would enjoy that activity too!

My personal goal is to help my dog meet more dog friends - we will do everything in our power to make sure Frank and his new bestie are both happy and healthy during their stay! Our standard protocols: - no toys (some dogs will express resource guarding behavior when not set up for success) - dogs will always be fed separately (same rationale as above) - crating can be accommodated but we typically do not crate our pup when we leave the house and dogs will be separated upstairs/downstairs when unattended - reactive dogs on leash will be walked separately as needed **please reach out if your dog might require any additional accommodations outside of our standard protocol**

A typical day
We walk (3x) daily, including a morning 20 min walk, afternoon 15 min walk, and evening long walk (45 mins). We also take the dogs to the park on long leashes whenever owners are comfortable.
