I've been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember and have been caring for cats and dogs since I was a little girl. Growing up with pets taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and understanding that every animal has their own unique personality and needs. Over the years, I've cared for and babysat pets for friends, family, and neighbors, earning their trust through dependable, compassionate care. My experience includes caring for cats and dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, energy levels, and temperaments—from playful puppies and energetic dogs to senior pets who need a little extra patience and attention, as well as independent cats and affectionate lap cats alike. I understand that some pets warm up quickly while others need time to build trust, and I always let them set the pace. Whether it's feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, cleaning litter boxes, or simply providing companionship and comfort while you're away, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to make sure your furry family member feels safe, loved, and well cared for, while giving you peace of mind knowing they're in reliable hands.

Ivy was a blessing just when we needed it most! Our old boy of 15 needed TLC while we were taking a week trip camping where he no longer had the ability to hike. Our fears of leaving our boy behind had weighed heavy on us but Ivy's instinctual care made Brunie comfortable and carefree. She made sure his walks were interesting while providing exercise. Each directive was followed and accented with special touches. Ivy became Brunie’s favorite caretaker. When our hearts heal and we find another shelter dog and we will always choose Ivy to aid us in times of need.
I wholeheartedly recommend Ivy as a pet caregiver on Rover. She is one of the best pet caregivers I have ever met. My dog is absolutely obsessed with her and loves every minute they spend together. Ivy goes above and beyond to make sure every pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. She always follows the pet parent's instructions carefully and treats every animal as if they were her own. Whether it's sticking to a feeding schedule, administering medications, or simply giving extra love and attention, I know she will do everything requested and more. I have always felt completely comfortable leaving my dog with Ivy, whether it's for a few hours or an entire week. I never have to worry because I know my dog is receiving exceptional care, plenty of affection, and having a great time. Ivy is dependable, trustworthy, compassionate, and genuinely loves animals. She would be an amazing addition to Rover!

Schedule
I work full time out of the home, but can be available to board animals overnight on weekdays for (1) night with a pick up by 7:30 AM the following day and can board or house-visit over the weekend (Drop off Friday after 4PM thru Sundays-pick up by 5 pm Sunday). I can do house visits any week day after 4 PM.

I have a fenced in backyard and a very walkable, safe neighborhood. My home is a pet's paradise with lots of comfy couches and plenty of space to run and play, and windows for clocking in for Neighborhood Watch :) I don't mind animals sleeping with me, if they want to! Otherwise, plenty of places for furry ones to nap and snooze whenever they choose.
A typical day
I provide a safe, loving home where your dog will be treated like family. Our days include walks, playtime, plenty of cuddles, mental enrichment, and lots of personalized attention. I follow each dog's routine closely, including meals, medications, and any special care needs, and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're away.
