Hello! My name is Ivan. I am an experienced dog walker and dog trainer based in Wakefield. I enjoy working with dogs of all breeds, sizes and personalities, from young puppies to energetic adult dogs. During walks I focus on calm and structured behaviour so dogs can feel relaxed, balanced and comfortable. Many dogs benefit from clear guidance during walks, which helps improve leash manners, focus and overall behaviour. I have experience working with dogs that pull on the leash, become overexcited outside or have difficulty focusing during walks. My goal is to make walks safe, calm and enjoyable for the dog while also encouraging better behaviour and engagement with the handler. I always treat every dog with patience, respect and attention to their individual needs. Your dog's safety and wellbeing are my priority. I also offer dog training sessions for owners who would like to improve behaviour such as leash pulling, basic obedience, recall or overexcited behaviour during walks. This was the first time our 7 month old puppy had stayed with Ivans. He was welcomed into Ivans home and settled well. Ivans sent us some photos and update during his stay so we knew all was ok

Ivan has been brilliant - excellent communication, reliable, trustworthy and punctual. When he came for the meet and greet, he engaged really well with Snoopy, getting to know him and playing in the garden. I had full trust that Snoopy would be happy and safe with Ivan. Ivan has been walking our dog, who is staying with our various, elderly parents, whilst we're on holiday. Our dog became ill, and is an anxious dog. Ivan went with my dad to the vet to ensure there were no problems. What a man! 100% genuine animal lover and all round great guy. Our dog loves him too! We cannot recommend him more, we feel lucky to have found him.
Ivan looked after Roo for a week while we were on holiday, and we could not have been happier with the care she received. He communicated with us every day, sending regular updates, photos and videos, which gave us complete reassurance that Roo was happy, settled and content. This meant we were able to relax and enjoy our holiday, knowing she was in such safe and caring hands. When we collected her, Roo was delighted to see us, but it was also clear that she had thoroughly enjoyed her stay and felt completely at home with Ivan. He understands dogs exceptionally well, handles them calmly and confidently, and clearly loves and appreciates each one for their individual personality and quirks. We cannot recommend Ivan highly enough and would have no hesitation in leaving Roo with him again. Thank you, Ivan, for taking such wonderful care of her.
Ivan was great with Hazel he really helped out at a difficult time when she had a poorly leg and he was patient with her on walks whilst she got back into getting out and about again. Hazel came home all happy and waggy tailed which was lovely to see!
