A typical day
I enjoy long walks and making sure dogs get both exercise and mental stimulation. Depending on their personality, that might mean extended walks, park time, or structured play. With cats, I love interactive play sessions and also quiet time — I’m more than happy to read or relax nearby so they have companionship without pressure.

I’ve worked at an animal shelter for over 10 years, starting when I was 16, where I cared for both dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. I’ve worked with puppies and kittens, senior pets, and animals with special dietary or medical needs. I’m comfortable administering oral medications and carefully following detailed care instructions. In addition to shelter work, I’ve fostered both cats and dogs, which has given me hands-on experience helping animals adjust to new environments with patience, structure, and consistency. Working in a shelter setting has made me observant, calm, and proactive when it comes to recognizing behavior or health changes. Your pet’s happiness and health are my top priorities, and you can expect reliable communication and regular photo updates while you’re away.
