Safety, trust & environment
I have previous experience in pet sitting and understand that it can be a daunting time. As well as your pet care needs, I am there to ensure the safety of your home whilst you are away. Please feel free to get in touch about any additional needs such as: watering the plants, bringing in any mail and so forth
Information Isla H. would like to know about your pet
Taking as much information about your pet as possible ensures I can set up a personalised plan whilst you’re away. For example: - What are your pets like with strangers (would they like a pop in visit to meet before you go away) - Do I need to avoid other animals (prey drive) - Feeding routines - Medication and/or supplements - Allergies - Walking times (important for seniors and puppies so they don’t overdo it) - General day to day routine (most animals thrive on routine and can worry when this is disrupted too much) Please feel free to contact with any additional information you may think important or even to add some of their favourite things such as toys and treats.
A typical day
Having worked with a range of animals in homes, day cares and rescues. I have been able to trial a number of activities and enrichment which can be personalised where needed: - Sniffing activities are great for anxious pets who need some time to decompress. Allowing them to gather more information anything new. As well as stimulating the brain in your higher energy dogs. This can be done indoors or through a scent walk outside, allowing them to go where their nose takes them. - Play is a great way to build a bond with animals when they are ready. Independent play such as long lasting chews, toy shredding or personal play with their favourite toys (chasing/tug) - Stimulation games such as puzzle feeders, hide and seek (find it games) - Short training sessions help to provide stimulation to not only tire out your pet but to build their bond with myself. This can be going over commands they already know or introducing new ones. Depending on your pet this can include bits of grooming (brushing) and some down time to relax whether that be on their own or if wanted with myself. I will never say no to extra strokes and cuddles😊

Reviews

Isla looked after our sensitive nervous guy Harvey during our wedding. He was happy healthy and settled when we got back. It was super nice to be able to relax and enjoy knowing he was in such good hands !

Isla is an amazing sitter! Very communicative, professional & has a genuine love for her job. We felt so comfortable leaving Nima in Isla’s care. Isla went above & beyond in sharing updates, and even helped Nima in further training on walks. Feel very lucky to have found the perfect sitter for Nima!

Amazing x

If I could put 10 stars I would. Isla is fab with dogs and has experience and intuition with them and knows how to bond with them. My nervous dog turned from hiding to cuddling so quickly without pressure from Isla. Her focus is on enrichment and she goes above and beyond to make the time your away be the best possible for your animals and caters for them individually xxxx Highly recommend Isla
