I’ve loved animals my whole life, especially dogs, and I treat every pet I care for like part of the family. When I was 6 years old, my single mother and I had to move abroad, and I had to say goodbye to my wonderful dog, Piper, who I loved for years. That experience taught me at a young age what it meant to truly appreciate the present moment and never take the love of an animal for granted.
