Hi, I’m Isabelle! I’m a Fort Greene-based grad student and experienced pet carer who would love to care for your dog(s) and/or cat(s). I have 25+ years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and personalities - including very senior pets, puppies, kittens, rescues, and animals that need extra patience or care. I’m comfortable giving and applying pet medications, following special feeding routines, cleaning litter boxes and accident mats, and walks long or short. (I spent the last year caring for a 16 year old westie terrier and a 19 year old tabby cat, so I have a lot of patience for special pet needs!) I’ve lived in New York for almost 10 years, including more than 3 years in Fort Greene, so I’m very comfortable navigating the area, apartment buildings, dog-friendly routes, parks, keys, doormen, etc. I’m responsible, communicative, and careful, and can handle detailed pet-care instructions. I’ll treat your pet like it’s my own: with patience, affection, lots of love, and respect for their routine. I love animals but can’t have my own right now, so caring for other people’s pets is genuinely a joy.

I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet and home in someone else’s hands. I’m always happy to send photos and updates after visits so you can feel completely at ease and know that they feel safe and cared for while you're away.

My dogs and I absolutely adore Isabelle and I couldn’t recommend her more highly! She regularly walks my dogs and has also provided extended dog sitting care for me several times, and every experience has been exceptional. She is highly dependable, communicative, trustworthy, and attentive, and I always have complete peace of mind knowing that my dogs and home are in her care. What truly sets Isabelle apart is the genuine love and care she has for the pets under her care and the seriousness with which she takes the responsibility. She cared for my dogs while each had various pup ailments and she went above and beyond to ensure they got healthy. In addition to administering their care plans with diligence, she showed great judgement in noticing that my older dog wasn’t improving, taking her back to the vet for a revised treatment plan that got her healthy again. Isabelle is always my first choice when looking for dog walking and sitting and she has my strongest recommendation to those looking for pet care!
I don’t have enough good things to say about Isabelle. I feel so at peace knowing that she’s taking care of our dogs Doom & Bun. She’s reliable and always communicating with us through the stay to keep us updated on what the boys are up to. We hate having to leave the dogs but I know they’re in good care when we do. Anyone in need of a dog sitter / dog walker, Isabelle is the one!
Isabelle is amazing with our two dogs, Bun and Doom. They could not be more different: Doom is a big mellow hound who mostly wants to nap, and Bun is a ten month old terrier who is adventurous and independent. She's great with both of them, and they're always happy and relaxed when we get home. She follows our routines exactly, never misses Doom's morning medication, and sends photos and updates without us having to ask. She's super reliable, responsible, and communicative, so I always feel completely comfortable leaving the dogs in her care. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring dog sitter or walker.
I cannot say enough good things about Isabelle. From the moment we met, I felt completely confident leaving my dog in her care. She's genuinely attentive, patient, and clearly has a real love for dogs. My pup came back happy, well-exercised, and cared for in every way possible. What really stood out to me was how thoughtful she is about the details. She communicated throughout, followed all of our instructions, and clearly went above and beyond to make sure my dog felt comfortable and had a great time. It's rare to find a caretaker you trust this completely, and Isabelle is honestly one of the best I've ever worked with. If you're looking for someone who will treat your dog like their own, Isabelle is your person. Already booking her again!
Isabelle has looked after my cats many times and I can’t recommend her enough. She’s super reliable, communicative, and clearly loves animals. She always sends lots of photo updates and my cats genuinely love her, they’re always happy and relaxed when she’s with them. I never have to worry when Isabelle is watching them, highly recommend!!
Isabelle is simply the most empathetic and attentive (yet also easy going) petsitter I've ever hired. In caring for my loud and demanding cat, she showed what she meant when she said she grew up with litters of kittens and dogs of all shapes, sizes, and constitutions; there wasn't a demand Romy (my cat) made that she didn't handle with aplomb. 10/10 would recommend for short visits to extended care - clearly smart, obviously capable, and eminently chill. I don't usually write reviews of anything or anyone but Isabelle is a cut above the rest. She'll leave your pet (and frankly your home if you ask her...) better than she found it. Bravo - Sam

Schedule
Because I’m currently a graduate student in history, I have a very flexible schedule and come at times that suit your pet best. I spend a lot of time reading — which also means I’m very happy to provide calm company, extra snuggles, and attentive care if helpful. I love to walk, and am happy to come during the daytime while you're at work to ensure your pet isn't alone for too long during the day.
