I recently completed a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy at the UW, and I’m working part time while I search for full time work. Flexible feeding times are ideal, as I often work late (at a cat cafe!) and may not always be able to visit at standard meal times, especially in the evenings. If your cat needs a meal or medication at a specific time, please let me know and I’ll see if I can fit it into my schedule.

I am very detail-oriented, and treat each pet in my care as if they were my own. I will respect any rules about how to approach care in a client’s home; for example, staying out of certain rooms, not bringing in outside toys or treats, or any other rules set by the client. I strive to be the “fun babysitter” but can also just make sure everyone is kept alive!

Please let me know if your pet has any quirky behaviors or special needs to be aware of. Pets are often hilariously odd in their own ways, and I want to know what is normal for them versus what might not be!
A typical day
I like to bring a new toy for each pet when I watch them for the first time, so that they have something exciting to associate me with. I’m happy to spend time on playtime, but I’m also happy to just sit and give pets!

Cat care experience
I became the go-to cat sitter in my small childhood neighborhood around the age of 12, and quickly took on a number of pets as regular "customers". I've had a wide range of experiences with the pets I've taken care of, from rescuing escapees from torn-open screen doors to just hanging out on the couch as a warm body to provide comfort. I have taken care of cats of all ages, from just-adopted kittens to end-of-life senior cats, and I am familiar with (attempting to) give medications to cats.

Isabelle was the best pet sitter I’ve ever worked with. She was incredibly conscientious, going above and beyond, even going out and getting treats for my kitty to coax her into eating her meds. She always kept me up to date, and she even left detailed instructions for the person who took over after her. I don’t like leaving my cat with anyone, since she has a serious heart condition, but knowing she was with Isabelle calmed me immensely and I was able to enjoy my trip!
