I’m pursuing a masters in counseling psychology at TWU, and am in class Mondays (9am-2:50pm) and Wednesdays (9:30am-12:30pm). I am available for housesitting on those days, but will not be able to complete care tasks during the aforementioned class times. Early morning and afternoon/evening care is still doable! Please inquire regarding your specific situation.

I can’t board animals in my current accommodations, but will happily take care of your pets in their own comfy space. I will of course treat your home with the same respect I’d treat my own— if your pup or cat has an accident, it’ll be thoroughly cleaned. If your bird flings fruit on the ground, that’ll be handled too. If there’s some sort of issue, you’ll be contacted ASAP.

Please let me know ahead of time if your pet has any special needs or specific quirks/dislikes! It’s also useful for me to know your pet’s specific training cues/commands (i.e. “come” vs “here,” “heel” vs “stop pulling”), if any. My goal is keep your animal friend as healthy and happy as possible, so please feel free share any and all details you deem relevant to that goal.
A typical day
We’ll go on long walks (or short walks, if your pup is a couch potato), make plenty of time for cuddles, and play fetch or tug-o-war! For cats, I’ve become an expert feather wand caster. For birds, we’ll get as much out-of-cage-time as possible!

Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Ella! I grew up on a ranch, and I’ve cared for animals of all personalities, sizes, and species since I was very young. I’ve been housesitting on Rover since May 2025. I had Star Sitter status until I took a long hiatus for travel and to move from Austin to DFW! Regarding pups, I’ve been personally responsible for everything from Great Danes and Newfoundlands to Labradoodles, Dachshunds, and Chihuahua mixes. I also love cats— until college, I’d never lived without them, and have enjoyed all the time I’ve gotten to spend catsitting while away from home. I have a 13-year-old Green Cheek Conure (Tiki) I adopted when I was eleven, and he’s been my baby ever since. I have experience pet-sitting other birds and am very familiar with their specific needs. I am also comfortable with horses and equine-care. I graduated from UT in Biology in 2025, and adore all animals— snakes, rodents, and everything in between. Feel free to message me with any specific questions! I’d be honored to care for any of your furry, feathery, or slithery friends. If you need flexibility regarding total sitting costs, please reach out! Rover now takes 30% of proceeds for new clients, so my rates are a bit higher than usual.
