Highlights
Pet care experience
Happy Pets, Happy Owners!
I've been a reliable pet sitter for the past 5 years. During college, I was an in-house pet sitter for a 2-year-old Maltese and also regularly in-house sat for a lab mix and Husky. I would also occasionally watch my friends' dogs during long holiday weekends here and there. When completing my Master's I offered drop-in visits to residents in my apartment complex and gained plenty of experience walking different breeds of all sizes and ages. I understand that every pet has an established routine and unique needs, so I like to build trust with the pets I sit and value creating a meaningful bond by learning each pet's personalities, habits, and preferences.

Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I value open communication and like to provide as many updates as possible/as frequently as owners would like through photos or just casual check-in texts. I believe honesty is the best policy and bring up any concerns immediately to the owners. I always ask about emergency contacts/emergency vet locations in case it is ever needed. Building trust with owners is just as important as building a strong bond with your furry friend, so I like to get to know owners before sitting and talk about our communication styles.
Ratings and reviews
Isabella was an excellent cat sitter! She was very responsive, thorough, and attentive. My cat loved spending time with her, and I felt so much better on my vacation knowing she was in Isabella's hands!
Izzy is the best when it comes to taking care of animals. She is attentive, honest, and a great person and every animal she’s come across loves her. She has also taken care of my dog and Nala had an absolute blast with. Nala loves when Izzy comes around which makes me believe Izzy is doing something right!
Izzy is amazing! She was our go-to pet sitter for about a year. For context, we have three dogs, and at the time we also had a 25 gallon community fish tank and 3 geckos. Izzy not only helped with the dogs, but also the fish and the geckos. She would always keep us in the loop and send pictures, and our dogs absolutely loved her! One of my dogs is a senior with behavioral issues, but she warmed right up to Izzy which was super important for me. She’s super sweet, punctual, and great with different animals. I always felt like I could trust her with our pets. <3

Schedule
I work full time in-person in Washington, D.C., Monday-Wednesday and remotely from Herndon, VA Thursdays and Fridays. My schedule allows me to flexibly work around the DMV, with greater daytime flexibility on my remote workdays and availability before or after work when I am in the office for D.C. residents. I can work remote from anywhere which is helpful for pet parents wanting a sitter starting on Wednesday evenings to Sunday if traveling over a weekend.
