My availability has recently opened up. Aside from some weekends where I will be out of state to work, I am able to travel and work from anywhere on my own schedule with a lot of flexibility. When it comes to working as a sitter in the homes of clients, I bring my own toiletries and towel and always err on the side of caution and asking before taking any action that hasnt previously been discussed. I work in the best interests of animals and the owners who know them best, so listening to the instructions of pet owners is very important to me. Personally, I will not work in homes that have cameras placed in bedrooms or bathrooms, or homes that have broken locks on entryway doors. I will also not stay in homes that show evidence of any infestations or parasites- including fleas, ticks, spiders, or roaches. I am very respectful of the pets I take care of, especially considering I am entering their homes and spaces as a stranger. I also require that while I am house sitting, no visitors come unannounced or enter the residence without being invited in. I take my safety seriously and will not tolerate being surprised by anyone the owner has not notified me about. Aside from that, I tend to listen to music and audiobooks from a small (4 inch) speaker throughout the day at a respectful moderate to low volume, so if your pet has any genre or song requests, I'm happy to oblige!

I have experience as a veterinary technician and I am comfortable providing medical care in-home for special needs animals and seniors that tolerate being handled by one individual. I do ask that if your pet is reactive to anything, I am told ahead of time.
A typical day
A typical day starts with any morning routines as advised by the pet owners. I tend to read, draw and sketch, watch movies, and work from my phone and iPad when I'm not walking your dog, petting your cat, or cleaning after your animals. If If your pet is able to and the owner approves, I love to go to dog-friendly parks for walks. I can provide baths and some basic puppy training as well. Then I take care of night time routines, shower, and sleep. At minimum, you can expect picture updates at least twice a day.

Hello! I have 16 years experience in animal health and husbandry looking after pocket pets, small animals, exotics, and some livestock and studied animal science at Santa Fe college. I spent time as an assistant wildlife rehabber and lead exhibit keeper and most recently spent time in veterinary diagnostics. I also have access to military bases and housing and can provide house-sitting to military families. I've taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember, but pofessionally I've worked with canines for 16 years. I pride myself in respecting dogs and their personal space, prefering to win their hearts over at their own pace. I am also comfortable taking care of dogs with specials needs and those requiring medical care including seniors. I also love bathing, brushing and de-shedding dogs that tolerate it. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! I have spent my whole career looking after animals and the people who love them. I would to be your choice for pet care. Thank you!
