My work at the music school is in 3-5 hours shifts in the afternoons/evenings, meaning that I have a pretty flexible schedule. I am often free during traditional work hours until 3pm or so. My personal policy is to not leave animals alone for more than 5-6 hours. If I have an engagement that will require me being away longer than that, I’ll let you know before we finalize anything to see if that would be ok with your pet’s needs.

I am happy to go to the client homes to housesit, take the pets on walks or just do standard drop-ins. I am unfortunately unable to board animals at my own place, however.

Name, breed, age, temperament, special needs, schedule (walking, feeding, sleeping and getting up in the morning). I also will not accept a booking until I have met the owner and dog first and made sure I can work in the space comfortably.
A typical day
I love to train dogs to do tricks and give them treats! I also have experience working as a dog trainer, either with loud and jumpy dogs or timid rescues. I love taking them all on walks to get them out there and make sure they are either behaving or are feeling comfortable outside. I also love having photo shoots with the dogs! I’ve gotten some really cute pictures over the years :)

Pet care experience
Hello! I somewhat recently moved to Cville from Staunton, but am a lifelong resident of the region so am quite familiar with the area! I am 29 years old working at a music school here in town. I’m also a musician and play occasional gigs in the area! I have a bachelors degree from Wake Forest University and majored in Spanish and Art History, and have spent time living in Chile, Spain, and Colombia! I have experience with dog and house sitting over the past few years, as well as loads of personal experience taking care of my own dogs over the course of my life (beagle/basset and Labrador/pointer/Great Dane mix). I have my own car and can provide transport. I am a dog lover and spending time with/caring for dogs seems like a fantastic way to spend my free time. After many successful experiences working with Rover, I am confident that I will be able to take good care of your pet. Hope to meet you in the near future!
Reviews

Isabel did a great job housesitting for my dog and cat for a week. She was very communicative with messages and pictures. My dog injured her leg shortly before my trip and needed medicine and special treatment that wasn't part of the original booking, but Isabel was very accommodating. The pets and the apartment were in great shape when I got back! I would definitely book her again.

Super professional, attentive, reliable, and communicative. Impossible to be better.

Isabel did a great job, she was an excellent communicator, was flexible, and so great with paying attention to Jack's schedule. Jack loved her!

Five stars is not enough to give a rating to Isabel. Our three dogs loved her and she took great care of our house too! She is friendly, an excellent communicator, responsible and flexible... We highly, highly, highly recommend her!
