As the full-time owner of Animal Diaries Empire, pet care isn’t just part of my routine — it’s my everyday world. From sunrise to evening check-ins, my schedule is built entirely around the needs, safety, and happiness of the pets I serve. This work is my passion and my lifestyle. Pet care fits into my schedule because it is my schedule. This is my full-time business and a way of life for me. My days revolve around training, enrichment, boarding, and providing a safe, loving environment for every pet in my care. We take up to 10 dogs during normal seasons, and up to 15 dogs during busy seasons (Holidays, Spring break, summer time). Please note that I book up months in advanced for our busy seasons. My husband, or other family attendants remain present with any in-house dogs, while Isabel is away on drop-ins/trainings/outcall sessions.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priority. I am fully insured and bonded, giving pet owners peace of mind while their pets are in my care. I’m certified in canine and feline CPR & First Aid, and my two years of veterinary hospital experience as a kennel technician taught me proper handling, restraint techniques, and how to respond calmly and confidently in urgent situations. At my place: My home is set up intentionally for safe, stress-free pet care. I have multiple gated areas that allow for easy separation, decompression, or quiet time for dogs who need space. I also have crates in every size to comfortably accommodate any breed accustomed to crate training. My backyard is fully enclosed and secure, and all outdoor time—potty breaks or yard play—is always supervised. Pets are never left unattended, and there is always an attendant present to ensure a safe and positive environment for every animal in my home. At your place: When caring for pets in your home, trust and respect are my highest priorities. I have been fully third-party background checked and approved, giving you confidence when sharing sensitive information such as alarm codes, garage access, or key handling. I conduct a meet-and-greet at your home so I can understand your pet’s routine, where supplies are located, and any specific preferences you have for their care. I only enter approved areas of your home and treat your space with the utmost respect and discretion. During drop-ins, my goal is to replicate your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible—providing the same comfort, structure, and attention they would receive from you. I take great care to leave your home exactly as I found it (or better), ensuring your pet is fully cared for while maintaining the privacy, safety, and tidiness of your space. For brand new dog boarding or daycare clients, WE REQUIRE a temperament assessment to ensure your dog will be a good fit (NO EXCEPTIONS). We conduct tours via video chat, then we schedule a time for you to bring your dog for assessment. You can feel free to wait in car, or on our porch in nice weather. Assessment usually takes about 25mins. We do not accept dogs who show signs of agression or resource guarding. All feline Meet & Greets for boarding at our place, are conducted via Video chat. If services are being conducted at your place, both video chat or in-person are options for consultation.

Information Isabel C. would like to know about your pet
Everything! Are they friendly and sociable with other people/kids? Do they get a long with other pets? Are they leash trained? Are they obedient trained? Are they reactive or have any aggression? Any struggles with anxiety? Do they need free run of the house, or do you prefer them to be crated? Are they prone to accidents? What's their personality like? Do they like to be pet? Have any allergies? Need any medications/insulin/ or injections? What type of food are you providing, and how many times a day do they need to be fed? Can they be given treats? Do they have dietary restrictions? What is their bathroom break routine and schedule? Are they litter trained (for cats)? What is the name of their regular vet, and where is the vet located? Emergency contact information? In case of emergency, would you like CPR & First aid techniques to be administered? Will there be any family/friends, or other service professionals present at time of service? I will go over every detail comprehensively with you, or if you prefer to write it down on a list; that helps as well. I like to get a general run down of your own personal routine/schedule with your pup/cat; so I may mimic and recreate the same bond you would provide as the owner. Hated leaving my fur babies and going on trips but now I’m able to leave with my mind at ease knowing Isabel will be looking after them!!

Hate leaving my fur babies but my mind is at ease when I know Isabel will be taking care of them!!

Isabal is FABULOUS! Highly recommended!

We had to fly out of town unexpectedly and with our daughters out of town, were panicking about who could take care of our4-legged family member. She's a 14 yr old Std Schnauzer who has back problems (in spite of major surgery a year ago). So we needed her in a situation where the caregiver could understand her challenges with stairs so she didn't risk further damage. Having used Rover years ago, I came back online. After reading a lot of reviews, Isabel stood out for great reviews, return clients and excellent experience. She was more than we had hoped for. She FaceTimed me and showed how she ensures their are no issues as new dogs join the household - gates dividing areas, she understood that sometimes dogs need a 'break' from others, lots of different bed types for them to choose to lie on. THEN she was very accommodating about did we want to drop off or for a nominal fee, she could pick her up. I was impressed with everything she did (& her understanding of dogs' needs) and on top of it, she sent us more photos and videos than we needed BUT credit to her as she wanted us to see how our girl was eating well, getting along (sleeping with) the different dogs. Also, great shock to us, but no issues with her cat (which she will restrict to upstairs if dogs are not cat friendly). Don't know if our girl thought she was just another dog due to her relaxed demeanor or whether she just decided to be chill with her. I am VERY picky about who I would entrust my baby to and I can't say enough good things about her. Jynx gives her a 5-dogbone rating too. Woof Woof Woof Woof Woof! Carolyn F/Hinsdale
