I have cared for animals throughout my life, from family pets in Puerto Rico to friends’ cats and dogs here in the U.S. Although I am new to Rover, I have several years of experience pet-sitting, house-sitting, and walking pets for friends and family. Over the past few years, I have regularly helped care for small and medium dogs, cats, and multi-pet households, including walking and caring for a Husky at different times over a two-year period. I am currently a proud cat dad to Mushu. I also call him Mushito and Mushín, and he is the most handsome black cat, he makes sure to remind me of that daily. I helped raise him alongside his sister, Mulan, and Mushu has also lived with other cats and even a turtle over the years. Because of this, I understand how important patience, routines, slow introductions, and calm attention can be in homes with multiple animals. I also pet sit Mulan whenever I visit Tampa. Back home in Puerto Rico, three beautiful dogs are part of my family, including two Belgian Malinois, Leila and Lyra, and a mixed-breed satita, Maya. I also grew up around animals in the Puerto Rican countryside, including chickens, sheep, pigs, cows, and horses. Because of this, caring for animals has always felt natural to me. As a young professional and professor, I understand how much consistency matters when life gets busy, especially during the summer. I will be in Tallahassee throughout the summer while teaching, and I would love to support others by offering reliable, attentive, and loving care for their pets.
