Hello there! My name is Iris and I’m an Outdoor Educator and avid outdoors person with a flexible schedule! I grew up with a variety of dogs and cats, primarily medium to large sized dogs and stray cats we brought in to nurture and love. In my home we have 1 dog and 1 cat who are best friends! we have 40 acres of land but none of it is fenced so we have trained our pup to stay close. our daily routine will be at least a morning and evening walk a day plus some games of chase or tag and brain games.

I love all animals dearly and cannot wait to care for yours. I believe strongly in positive reinforcement, as well as being keen on each animals physical cues (body language) as to react appropriately in each moment. I am willing and able to adapt my behavior around your pet(s) to suit your training preferences. I also think that activity and mental stimulation play a huge part in a dogs behavior so I will put lots of time and energy into that

Iris was great and it was wonderful to be able to leave on vacation knowing that our dog would be well cared for.
Iris was absolutely amazing! Luna and Loki had such a great time, and we picked them up all tuckered out and ready for bed. Their property was stunning and perfect for their active shenanigans. Her dog was a lovely friend to Luna also, and she now misses him dearly. 100% recommend!
Mavis seemed to warm up to Iris quickly and enjoyed the walk, I got several pictures
Iris is a natural with dogs. Our nervous dog, who takes a bit to warm up to most people, interacted with Iris at our first meet and greet and was comfortable with her after their second meeting for a walk. It was very comforting as we needed someone to take care of our pup for over a week. Iris's work schedule is variable which can mean she is available when others might not be. However, her schedule did change at the last minute before a scheduled meeting. Iris did let us know before the actual event and rescheduled promptly.
Iris did a great job taking care of our pets! She asked all the right questions during the meet and greet and made us feel very comfortable going out of town for the night! Will definitely book with her again for further trips!

Schedule
I am a teacher at an outdoor school and a nanny so i ahve lots of flexibility in my hours! I will typically take my dog Cedar on a walk in my morning with my tea and then we will snuggle, play fetch, maybe go to the dog park and then go on another evening stroll
