I’m a registered nurse but haven’t found a job yet, so I’m looking to Rover for the interim! My days are very flexible when I’m in town.

My husband and I just bought a home in Slide Hill Park, so we have a fenced-in backyard and a dog door that my dog can help your dog learn how to use :) A little about our dog: he’s a very sweet 9-month-old golden retriever/siberian husky mix named Oreo who we rehomed from another family who has to give him up because of landlord issues. He’s very friendly and loves to exercise and play with other dogs! He’s still intact for now— hoping to wait until he’s at least 1-year-old so he can finish growing. I love to run/walk him in Slide Hill Park, the Greenbelt, and the Arboretum, and I would love to take your pet along as well! I also really enjoy taking dogs to the dog park so they can socialize 🐕🐩🐕🦺🦮

Information Iris P. would like to know about your pet
Just let me know if your pet has any special needs or triggers I should be aware of when caring for them! I realize animals have their own personalities, needs, and wants, and I want to be considerate so they trust me to take care of them safely :)
A typical day
I usually take my dog out for a walk and/or run in the morning for about 1-1.5 hours, any time between 6:30 AM-11 AM (depending on if I have plans and the weather). I also take him out again in the evening, any time between 5:30 pm-9:30 pm (again, depending on plans and the weather), or I take him to the dog park for an hour so he can run around. During the rest of the day, we play outside or inside, nap, and stay stimulated with dog puzzles or the kong :) I make my dog feel like we’re a pack by always making him a small dog-safe portion of whatever I’m eating and placing it in his bowl, and I’d love to do the same for your pet! I’m also happy to take your dog on walks with us, or separately so they can get 1:1 time if that’s what they prefer!

Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs (a very sweet, energetic Australian shepherd mix, a crazy but loving Jack Russell terrier mix, and a super athletic labradoodle), so have loved and cared for high-energy dogs from a young age! I also have recent experience cat sitting my friends’ cat, which I really enjoyed :)
Reviews

We needed someone to watch our lab while we did a tour of UC Davis. Iris was great!

Iris was great with our doggo! She even came over beforehand to do a meet and greet.
