Pet care experience

Active student, animal-lover

I have had a dog ever since I was a small child, as well as this, been surrounded by/looked after pets of my family and friends. I am currently based at my London family home while studying at university- ever since my pet whippet sadly passed earlier this year I have found great joy in looking after pets of people in my local neighbourhood as well as family and friends (while they are away on holiday or need pet fed while at a long work day). The biggest reason why I would consider myself a trusted and great pet sitter is because as well as my natural care for animals, I am someone who pays the most attention to detail when it comes to specific routines and needs for individual pets (feeding times, walking, other requirements). I have experience looking after all pets - from playful Labradors to joyful Chihuahuas, as well as of course cats. As a student in central London in a family home I would argue that I am one of the most reliable types of pet minders, as I am not burdened by location or working hours.

Iris has cared for my fussy whippet on multiple occasions now and has stayed in our home to mind him while we have been away on holiday. Anyone who has a whippet will know that they are very discerning with their humans and they require particular care. Iris WhatsApped us photos/ videos every day of Nelson on his walks, having zoomed in the park and sleeping in his favourite spot at home. She regularly comes over ( if I’m having a longer working day) to take home for a midday walk and he is genuinely excited when she arrives . I trust Iris to care for my dog as I would. And to take care of my home when I’m not there. I highly recommend.

Iris is a wonderful pet-sitter, she ensures that every visit is filled with cuddles, attention, and lots of exercise. She has been caring for my own dog for a few years now, and I know I can trust her to fulfill all of my dog’s needs. If you’re looking for a London-based pet sitter, look no further.

Iris is my sister, we’ve grown up together with dogs in our family our whole life. Iris is a very active person so always loved to take our recent family dog Jaxon out for walks all the time, it was part of her routine. Sadly, since Jaxon passed away Iris hasn’t been able to go on dog walks with him anymore, however this has allowed her to find joy in dog sitting for peers, friends and family- which is really nice to see. Our family here is really chilled out and all love animals!

Schedule

I am a film student who has a very flexible timetable- majority of my work I do from home on my computer. When I’m not doing university work, I like to spend most of my time in the gym or going on walks as I am a very active person. Job-wise, my only work constraint is that I am a little kickers football coach for only 3-4 hours on Saturday mornings, so does not interfere with pet-caring availability. Overall, I would consider myself self an adaptable person who can easily change my routine depending on what works best for your pet.

Safety, trust & environment

I live a 10 minute walk from Farringdon station in London which connects me easily around London - making me available to come to you and your pet. Regarding my own home: I am a short walk away from multiple London parks (always filled with other dog friends) and dog-friendly coffee shops (who always offer a treat). As well as nearby greenery, my home also has fenced off outside areas which my own pup often loved relaxing in. Important info is that my house does have a 4 story flight of stairs (which can be closed off depending on preference) with my room being on the ground floor which is helpful if your pet isn’t comfortable with climbing stairs.
