I have a cat-like personality greyhound who is 5 year old. She loves her naps and if you looking for a friend for your furry friend who can provide some calm energy, look no further!

Information Iris H. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your furry baby has any special need I need to be mindful on. I volunteer at the shelter so it's no trouble for me to accommodate any needs that ensures your furry baby is as comfortable and as calm as possible while you're away.

A typical day

My goal is to stimulate your furry baby physically and mentally through exercises and play time. Cuddling is definitely a big part on the list as it helps your furry baby knows he/she is safe and loved while their humans are away.

Pet care experience

With over 26 years of experience as a pet parent to 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 bunny and 2 guinea pigs, I now share my life with my greyhound, Bree. I'm certified in Pet First Aid and hold a Professional Pet Care Certificate, and I've volunteered with the Ontario SPCA since May 2015. I'm also pursuing certification as an ABC Certified Dog Trainer (ABCDT) and Pet Massage Practitioner, and Bree & I are both proud members of the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program. Giving back matters to me too: 10% of my profits go to an animal shelter of your choice, or I'm happy to pick one for you! In your home, I provide attentive daytime and evening care, including dog walks, meals, fresh water, baths, and litter box cleanup (and any other messes along the way!), plus plenty of play and cuddle time. I administer oral and topical medications as needed, and I log the date, time, and details of every visit so you always know exactly how things went. I also offer house-sitting support: collecting mail, newspapers, and packages; watering plants; and putting your garbage and recycling bins out on their scheduled days.

Iris is the most loving, sensitive, and intuitive dog sitter around. She stayed in my home with my shy and nervous rescue dog Sunny. Over the course of the 4 days, she was able to connect with Sunny and help her become more comfortable and confident. In the end she had Sunny eating out of her hands and playing fetch!!! Iris has a true gift and unique ability to connect with animals. I highly, highly recommend her services and will definitely be having her stay with Sunny again in the future.

Iris helped take care of our dogs for three weeks and was very flexible with our time frame as we consistently made changes to our travel schedule, she is very very considerate. She took care of our babies like her own and I can tell our two babies had a great time with her. She allow them to sleep with her on the bed, played with them everyday and spend a lot time with them which keeps them clam while we’re away. She also send us pictures and daily reports all allow us to know how the two puppies are doing which really help us kept a peace of mind while being away. I highly recommend Iris to anyone who is considering a pet sitter!!! Thank you Iris!

I am so thankful I found Iris. I contacted Iris last minute... literally. I contacted Iris the Friday of New Years Eve weekend and she said she had to move a few things around but she would be more then happy to come and watch Roxy for me. Iris came over on Friday afternoon to meet me and my gorgeous girl Roxy. Iris is warm and loving you can see how much she loves animals. I knew I could go away feeling relieved that Roxy would be taken care of. Every visit Iris emailed me and she wrote a full diary of every visit, I will be calling Iris every time I am in need of a care giver for Roxy. I will recommend Iris to all my friends. Iris thank you so much for taking care of Roxy over New Years and for being so flexible. I appreciate it so much.

If Caesar Milan is the dog whisperer, Iris is the pet fairy god mother. She is the first person I would go to for pet care advice and she has a crazy good talent at reading animals and their emotions. Volunteering for SPCA and being a devoted pet owner for most of her life should tell you her ability for taking care and managing the needs of your pet. If she can handle all animals at a shelter with loving attention, imagine what she can do for you. Above all, she is an incredibly sweet person who takes her responsibilities seriously.
