I am home full time so your pup is always supervised. Usually, they have breakfast around 9am, then play, then take a nap. We go out at 12pm and have a snack of apple, pear, banana pieces and have another nap. Second potty break is at 3pm. Daycare usually goes home around 6pm.

I have a fenced yard with an artificial grass spot for dogs to go potty. There is also an emergency potty for when a need strikes. Certain areas of my home (like my bedroom and kitchen) are off limits and are blocked off. I feed dogs separately so there is no stealing food or allergy concerns.

Welcome to DC: District of Canine! We love all dogs, big and small, but prefer small to medium ones. However, I make exceptions for any size sighthounds just because I adore the breed. I've been a dog owner for over 20 years. My current gang consists of 2 whippets. Ten years ago, I left my job and decided to start a dog sitting/boarding business. The idea was to emulate the dog’s home environment as close as possible. We are YOUR DOG'S HOME AWAY FROM HOME. I am home full time, so every dog gets my full attention. There is a limit of 5 dogs for daycare and 3 dogs for boarding, so it doesn’t get too noisy/craxy. I don’t crate dogs. My loft has a garden which is great for going out to potty in bad weather. In good weather, we use it for hanging out. P.S. All dogs are allowed on furniture at my house. P.P.S. Please look at our Instagram feed to get an idea about our everyday activities.

Gimlet had a great three days at Irina’s. She did a great job making sure he was comfortable around the other guest dogs and communication was a breeze.
Irina is always such a caring and flexible host. I know my pup is in great hands with her. I highly recommend Irina to anyone looking for a loving home away from home for their dog.
Thank you to Irina for giving our pup a comfortable place to stay the day while we did some exploring in a new city. She was flexible on pick up and drop off and made our nervous pup as comfortable as he could be.
Irina is amazing, she has a great home for small dogs with beds everywhere, would definitely board here again.
