My name is Irene, I’m a 28-year-old animal lover originally from Barcelona, currently living in Munich while pursuing a PhD in Neuroscience at TUM. For the past two years, I’ve been offering dog care services through Rover here in Munich, and it’s been an incredibly fulfilling experience. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, rodents, birds, and even reptiles, which has given me a deep understanding and love for them. My connection to animals feels natural, and spending time with them brings me so much joy. My greatest companion was Lucky, a wonderful dog who shared my life for 13 years. Thanks to him, I gained valuable experience in training and caring for dogs, which I bring to every pet I meet. Balancing my PhD work in a busy laboratory means I can’t have pets of my own right now, but it also allows me the flexibility to dedicate time to helping others care for their furry friends. Whether it’s walking, feeding, or supervising, I’m happy to help. I live in Mangfallplatz (U1 station), close to Perlacher Forest—a great spot for dog-sitting adventures. I speak Spanish, English, and French (but not German yet!). I’d be happy to meet you and your pet beforehand to ensure we’re a good fit. Additionally, I can also care for other pets you might have. I couldn’t be happier with the experience! Communication was smooth and thoughtful, and Irene was always available and transparent, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. I felt completely reassured the entire time!! Her apartment is also perfect for a cat — cozy, safe, and very well located, with easy access to public transport and parking nearby. Irene is a wonderful dogsitter! Nulli seemed to have a really good time with her, she sent many photos from their day and even multiple overnight stays went extremely well. Leaving Nulli with her gave me so much peace of mind, i highly recommend Irene and will (hopefully) book many many more stays with her.

Schedule
Since I am a PhD student I am very flexible with my schedule; so don’t matter if you plan the reservation 1 week in advance or 1 day.

Safety, trust & environment
I can either host your furry friend in my house (I am living alone with no other animal) or go to your house to take care of it! I can understand your pet would feel more comfortable in your house so as soon as it doesn’t take me 1h to get there (I don’t have car) everything works!
A typical day
Depending on your dog’s character, we can either go for a chill and relaxing walk or play with him in a park where he can run and feel free for some time.
