I work part-time for San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. I usually work early mornings and late evening shifts a few days a week. I have a flexible schedule and readily available most mid-days.

A typical day
Playing with any of their favorite toys and allowing them to get good sniffs in while out on walks. I also like playing different types of sounds or music as a form of enrichment.

Pet care experience
I have 15 years of caring for pets of my own and well over 10 years of sitting for neighbors and friends pets. I have experience with dogs (of all sizes), cats, and pocket pets of all ages. I even have experience caring for elderly pets and those that require medication. Education background in animal care (Bachelor's in Animal Science and Associate’s in Animal Care and Training).

Irene is a great pet sitter! I have had the pleasure of having her as my pet sitter a couple times now and she does an amazing job! I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 rats which can be a lot, but it is no problem for Irene! She even sends me photos when I ask. When I am on vacation I can rest safely knowing my fur babies are well cared for.
Irene is our go to sitter any time we have to leave our dog and 3 cats! She is responsible, respectful, and communicates well, so we always trust her with our pets and know that she will do everything the way we do, and give our furry friends lots of love while she's at it!
I have two dogs, an Australian shepherd & and Akita and don’t always have time to walk them. Irene has helped me take care of them on numerous occasions. She’s reliable because she is punctual, communicates well, and is great with animals. Highly recommend!
Irene was absolutely lovely taking care of my two puppies Lilo and Tris. She took care of their every need and I was never in the slightest worried about them. Lilo occasionally needs anxiety medication and can need some extra love and Irene was so wonderful with her, having the skill and knowledge to properly deliver medication. Irene would even send frequent pictures of my dogs and share anecdotes of what they got up to. They're always happy to see Irene when she comes over to take care of them. I've contacted Irene many times to look after Tris and Lilo over the years and will continue to do so in the future.
