Your Fur Baby's Loving Care
Your fur baby(s) will have the constant companionship, love and attention of a retired nurse who adores dogs and is home full time. Medications & senior care - no problem. Walks on a private, gated, treed acreage close to Stony Plain. Plenty of squirrels & birds to watch! Fenced outdoor kennel attached directly to house. I've had West Highland Terriers all my life until McDuff recently passed away. McDuff's Doggie Care is named in his honour. I look forward to spending time with your fur baby(s). Happy to take up to 3 small-medium dogs from the same family at a time. Heading to Jasper? Convenient location, just past Stony Plain, 3 minutes south of Hwy #16, (Yellowhead Trail) main route to the mountains.

Irene is the absolute best. My family left our dog, Sherlock, for a resort vacation. Little did we know we left Sherlock at a resort as well! Irene went above and beyond to take care of Sherlock. He had a lot of anxiety for the first hour, but Irene took care of that, making sure he felt comfortable and safe. She took him on walks, used games to keep his mind occupied and gave him lots of love! Irenes house and land is perfectly set up for dogs to explore and enjoy. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing Sherlock was being loved and enjoying his own vacation!
Irene is the very best dog sitter we have experienced and Spice is 12 years old, so we have had a few, including family! We loved how she fell in love with our little one and Spice fell in love with her! We could relax on our 10 day vacation and not worry at all which is rare. Any dog left with Irene is so lucky! Spice came home a little spoiled haha. Irene is great at communicating everyday with pics! Thank you so very much, Irene, you are a gem.
Our dog had such a good time at Irene’s this past weekend. She took such good care of him. He seemed so comfortable with her . Our dog can be anxious but settled right in with Irene . She is so caring
Irene was everything, and more, that we could have wanted in a dog sitter!! She was well experienced and she adored our cairn terrier. She also lived on a contained acreage giving our dog McDuff lots of room to run! Our dog had the best staycation possible and would have liked to have stayed longer. Lily and Tucker absolutely LOVED their time with you Irene. My mom kept commenting on how she’s never seen Tucker so taken with someone. And it was SUCH peace of mind knowing they were so well taken care of if we had to be away. We will absolutely have them out to you again !

Schedule
I'm a retired nurse, at home full time. Dogs are the best companions and mine have always been close by me in my office, kitchen or watching TV unless they're busy barking at the squirrels outside!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced kennel directly attached to the house so dogs can go outside anytime they please to relieve themselves (during the day) or just sit on the porch and sniff the breeze. There are 20 foot long leads attached to the front and back deck so if I'm outside working in the yard they can explore independently yet are always safely within sight. Smoke free, cat, scent & pesticide free environment.
A typical day
Living on an acreage opens a wonderful world of smells with no end of new things to explore. We'll walk outside, play ball, then 'find the treat' treasure hunts and food puzzles inside - all depending on your dog's preferences. We also love to watch dog shows on TV and cuddle.
