Friendly & trusty home for all dogs and cats!
Hi! I am originally from Lisbon, Portugal. I moved to Worcester to join my partner over eight years ago. We have two small children; therefore, one of the requirements now is to welcome a dog or cat child-friendly. Our house has a gated front garden and an enclosed back garden, so your dog(s) will have plenty of space to wag their tail(s) and be happy. On the other hand, your cat(s) will have a relaxed indoor environment to chill and enjoy life while under my care. In Portugal, I was a foster carer for dogs. Bolota, a puppy then, stayed with me until she found her forever home. Every time I go back to visit family and friends, I walk my best friend's three dogs, Migas, Lua and Cuca, whenever she needs a hand. I have also always looked after my friend's cats while they went on holiday, going to their house to feed and play with them. Before Covid-19, I was a regular dog walker and cat socialiser at the local animal rescue shelter. I have walked many different dogs, so I feel I am skilled with the handling and understanding of dogs. I have cared for cats with different personalities, ages and needs. I genuinely love taking dogs for a walk and enjoying their company, as well as cuddling with cats while enjoying a cup of tea. Irene is our go-to dog sitter and again, Ivy has enjoyed another stay with the family, this time overnight. It's been a very hot stay for her, being in the middle of the recent heatwave, but Irene took great care of her and provided us with plenty of updates, much appreciated. I would have no hesitation in recommending Irene as a friendly, dependable, caring and trustworthy dog sitter.
Irene and her family were wonderfully helpful and professional in looking after Hazel over a weekend whilst we were hosting our wedding party nearby. Thank you so much!
Irene looked after our dog Ziggy overnight. Ziggy is extremely nervous and we were unsure how he would settle. He has only previously stayed with immediate family. Irene, Jon and her lovely young sons were so welcoming from the first meet and greet that we felt immediately reassured. During the stay, Irene sent updates which showed Ziggy had settled in well. He was relaxed when we collected him in the morning and had obviously enjoyed his stay. We would happily leave him another time, great to have a local option with such a lovely family. Irene and Jon took such wonderful care of Yoki while we were away for the week. It was clear from the moment we picked him up how happy and settled he’d been — he absolutely loved his stay with them! He enjoyed plenty of walks, lots of playtime, and an abundance of cuddles, which is exactly what he thrives on. They treated him like part of the family and kept us reassured while we were away. We would definitely recommend Irene and Jon and wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again. 🐾
An overnight stay for Ivy at Irene's and all went really well. Communication and updates were excellent as always and, most importantly, Ivy was safe, well cared for and happy. Huge thank you to Irene, Jon and family!
This was the first time our 1-year old menace had ever been left in the care of someone else, and I was a bit worried how Connie (The Menace) and Irene (The Sitter) would cope. I needn't have worried! The multitude of messages, photos and videos of Connie provided by Irene showed that Connie had quickly settled in with Irene's welcoming family, and if anything, I was in danger of The Menace not wanting to come home! A great, responsive sitter who allows you to get on with your holiday without worrying about your furry pal.

Harmonogram
I work full-time but on a flexible regime, choosing the days I'm in the office. I've been able to coincide both activities and my partner Jon steps in whenever needed. There's nothing like having a dog buddy while working from home.

Our house has an enclosed back garden, so the dogs have plenty of space to run around off lead. I follow Rover's guidance and always keep the dogs on the lead on walks. I have an extendable lead that I use (if not provided and if suitable) while walking in our local meadow to enhance their experience. I like to think that it is a home away from home experience at ours for the guest dogs and cats. I follow the indications provided by the owners and always check with them first if things change. I schedule a Meet&Greet beforehand to ensure we are a good match and to answer any questions the owners may have.

I have three dog friendly local nature reserves at my door step, and the canal towpath nearby. So far my guest dogs have enjoyed exploring them. Dogs seem to enjoy playing "football" or fetch games in our back enclosed garden. A lot of cuddling in the sofa has been appreciated by them and myself too :)
