I work full time in a 9-5 office role, but I am based mostly from home and generally have a good degree of flexibility throughout the week, with the occasional exception when I need to be in the office or attend meetings elsewhere. This means I can usually fit pet care easily around my schedule. For dogs, I can provide walks before work, during my lunch break, and again after work, as well as plenty of companionship throughout the day. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, so daily walks and quality time with pets fit naturally into my routine. My goal is always to make pets feel comfortable, cared for, and relaxed while their owners are away.

I usually care for pets in their own home, as I find they are happiest and most comfortable in familiar surroundings. For dogs in particular, this almost always means that I stay in the owner’s home so they can keep their usual routine and enjoy the comforts they are used to. I am happy to discuss having a dog stay in my home if needed. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always look after both pets and homes with care, respect, and attention to detail.

I love getting to know each pet as an individual, so the more information you can share, the better. I’d like to know about their personality, routine, favourite activities, feeding schedule, any medical needs, and anything they particularly love or dislike. Every pet is different, and those little details often make the biggest difference in helping them feel comfortable, happy, and understood while you’re away 😊
A typical day
A typical day depends on the pet, but it usually involves plenty of companionship, attention, and keeping to their normal routine. For dogs, I can provide walks before work, during my lunch break, and after work, along with playtime and lots of interaction throughout the day. I work mostly from home, so pets have company for much of the day rather than being left alone. For cats, I make time for feeding, play, cuddles (if they enjoy them!), and making sure they feel relaxed and settled.

Pet care experience
I have loved dogs and cats (and all the other animals!) since I was a kid, as I grew up on a small farm. I always enjoyed their company, and they seem to enjoy mine ☺️ I had a black lab called Brian in my adult years and a cat called Simba. My heart broke to pieces twice when I lost them. I have always been actively seeking dog and cat sitting opportunities, especially before and after Brian. My longest dog sitting was nearly 6 months long, and I still go to visit him whenever I can as we have formed a lovely bond. I currently work for a company producing smart devices as well as other products for dogs (soon cats, too!), so I am very familiar with the dog & cat world and their welfare is very important to me (as well as all the other animals!).
