Pet care experience

We're down(ward) dog with all pups!

Hello My name is Jennifer , I am a freelancer and animal lover, who may cry after watching Dodo dog videos. My husband Inam is writer/comedian who enjoys pups more than his jokes. We are dog parents to two smaller pups Bob Marley and Bruce Springsteen. Don't worry they are very loving of other dogs. We have a house with a fenced backyard, with plenty of open space for the pups to play and socialize. We also volunteer for Badass Brooklyn and am lucky to have a car to help their dogs to and from medical appointments. We can do the same for you if you need help with transporting the dog and you dont have time to either drop the pup off my place, and/or We can get to your place much quicker then it normally takes to train it there. We can't imagine a life without dogs; we really don't deserve them. But you deserve the best care and fun for your pup. We am very flexible with my schedule, feel free to reach out with any other questions. Jennifer & Inam

Scarlet loved her week here! She came home happy and tired from all of the play time. She can’t wait to go back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Imam and Jennifer were absolutely amazing! They took my dog on very short notice after my original sitter had to cancel, and for a fairly long stay, which was such a huge relief. They host quite a few dogs, but they manage them so effortlessly that I swear they're dog whisperers. My dog has pretty significant anxiety, and they were always attentive and sensitive to her needs. They knew exactly how to help her feel comfortable, and by the end of her stay I honestly think this had become her favorite vacation spot! What meant the most to me was how much they paid attention to my dog's unique personality. They noticed her little quirks, habits, and preferences, and shared those observations with me. As a dog parent, that meant the world because it showed they truly saw and cared for her as an individual—not just another dog staying with them. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Imam and Jennifer again. If you're looking for sitters who genuinely understand dogs and treat them with incredible care, look no further!

We cannot thank Jennifer and Inam enough for the great care they provided for our little geriatric Yorkie. Leaving an older dog with special needs is always a bit nerve-wracking, but Jennifer was wonderful from start to finish. It was reassuring to see how much care and kindness she demonstrated throughout the stay. If you are looking for truly kind dog watchers who will treat your pet like family, we highly recommend Jennifer and Inam. We would definitely trust them with our little one again!

Jennifer is a sweetheart. She brought Lola right outside when I pulled up. She gave me photos and videos. My dog was so tired when I picked her up I can tell she had a great time cause when Jennifer turned around to leave Lola tried to follow her 😂 I will definitely use her again!

A typical day

We have plenty of toys to play with including ones to stimulant their mind (like treat puzzles). Dogs do get bored, so its important to give them attention so they aren't snoozing away the day. We like to go on walks through our neighborhood and take advantage of Prospect and Mount Prospect parks to switch up sidewalk walks and nature walks. We got for at least 3 walks through the day, more if we have puppies in the house. Usually our morning walk is the longest and we like to be out and about for at least an hour. Jenn carries a doggie sling so she can carry any of the littler or older pups when their legs get tired. At least a couple of times a week we like to go to one of the dog runs or parks nearby. It's always a great opportunity for the dogs to socialize and run to their hearts' content. That's one of the best parts of living in Brooklyn, so many dogs to meet!

We like to know as much as we can so your dog's stay will be comfortable, stimulating, and as much fun as humanly/doggly possible. Lots of pups, especially rescues, have triggers that freak them out. Others harbour deep dislike for joggers, bikes, children, etc. You don't have to give us the complete rundown, but if there are any biggies, it helps for us to have a heads up. We need to know how they do with other dogs. Our two little guys love other dogs and we frequently have simultaneous stays or doggie daycare so we want to make sure everybody is going to play well. We have plenty of space to separate pups with beefs and conflicts, but again, it helps us when we know what to expect so we can be ready. It's also helpful to know what commands your dog knows and the words and gestures you use to communicate. If there's anything specific that you're working on, please let us know and we can help during the visit!
