Pet care experience

Countryside couple who love to care for animals!

I grew up with dogs (and cats, chickens, mice, snakes, and many other animals) and have years of experience taking care of pups of all kinds - young, elderly, massive, tiny, ones with behavioural and health issues, and rescues. We’re not quite ready for a dog of our own (although we do have a couple of rescue hens), but have lots of experience of pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbours, including via Borrow My Doggy. We also spent several years fostering with a cat rescue charity in South London. We’re a couple in our 30s, and moved to Wimblington in 2021. We have a good size garden and loads of good walking paths around us, and having recently left my job I have all the time to dedicate to helping look after your pet. So do reach out, we’re so excited to meet you and your pet!

Doggy Day Care • mar. 29, 2026

Imogen and Dan regularly look after our dog Pooka for us and I cannot recommend them enough! He always has a lovely time there and I feel so relieved to know he's safe and cares for while I'm at work. They're very patient with his cheeky behaviour and he always gets excited when we pull into their drive. Imogen always sends me a great report as to what shennanigins he's been up to at the end of the day. Cannot recommend enough!

Imogen is wonderful. She stepped in when an unexpected cancer diagnosis meant we had weeks of therapeutic treatment. It's the single biggest thing that made life less stressful. Bean loves her and she's been absolutely GREAT

Another fabulous week with Immi. They take excellent care of Pooka, with lots of cuddles, games and walks. Immi always lets us know how he's doing, shares photos and feedback as the end of the day. Thank you for taking such great care of him.

Thank you to Imogen & her partner for looking after our Maizsy for 5 days - Maizsy was very well looked after & was happy to see us on our return. We received regular updates & she looked to be enjoying herself. Will definitely book again (if you'll have her) 😏.

I’ve just left my job so I’m currently not working, and my partner works from home, so we have lots of time to dedicate to taking great care of your pet. We’re available weekdays and evenings as well as weekends, so we can be really flexible around your needs.

Safety, trust & environment

We like to hear from the pet owner exactly what their animal needs so we can tailor their care, whether it’s in our home or the owner’s. We like to walk dogs 2-3 times a day, and have a great network of footpaths around us. We have a lovely big garden to explore, it’s not currently fully fenced so we keep dogs on an extender-lead in the garden so they can still have a good play. We have two chickens, but otherwise no animals (and no kids) so we’ve got all the time to dedicate to your pet. We’ll always work with you to make sure we know what your pet needs to keep them happy and healthy, and you can rest assured they’ll get a tonne of attention and cuddles too..!

A typical day

We’re both active people and would love to spend the day with your dog out walking, finding all the good smells, and playing in the garden to keep them exercised and entertained. We love teaching dogs new things too, so can definitely keep up your training for recall, walking on lead etc. And of course all followed by some cuddles and TLC.
