You could not ask for a more compassionate and thoughtful soul to trust with your best friend. My dog unfortunately gave Imge a much more difficult time than I anticipated he would, but she was so thoughtful and positive through the entire experience. I’m not sure I could have expected another caretaker to be as patient and generous as she was with my senior boy acting out. Thanks again for everything.

I waited a few days before writing this because I wanted to give the sitter a chance to resolve the situation, but after several contradictory statements and four days of being ignored, I feel it’s important to share my experience. I chose this sitter because of her excellent reviews and repeat customers. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect that level of care. When I dropped off my dog (who is gentle, tolerant, and not food aggressive), I stayed for about 15 minutes. During that time, she calmly ignored another dog barking in her face, a kitten batting at her snout, and a puppy jumping on her. She was relaxed and curious, and I saw no red flags. A few hours later, the sitter messaged me saying my dog had “attacked another dog over a treat.” This was extremely out of character for her. When I asked for more details, it turned out the other dog had been allowed to put his face into the open bag of my dog’s treats — a bag the sitter had left accessible on the floor in a shared space. Allowing unfamiliar dogs to access high-value food items is an obvious recipe for tension, and something I would not expect from an experienced sitter. Even more concerning, she immediately suggested that she might move my dog to her mother’s house — someone I had never met and did not book with. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable leaving my dog there while I traveled. I picked up my dog the same day and contacted Rover. Despite my dog being there only a few hours, I was charged a holiday overnight rate plus a $198 cancellation fee and a Rover fee, totaling $264. The sitter told me she had not received the cancellation fee and claimed she would contact Rover to fix it. After multiple messages with Rover, it became clear this was untrue. She had received the fee, had not contacted Rover, and then stopped responding to me altogether. I have since had to dispute the charges with my credit card company. In the end, my dog’s care felt careless, the situation felt avoidable, and the follow-up was dishonest. Instead of helping resolve the issue, the sitter left me to deal with unexpected charges, last-minute scrambling for care, and days of unnecessary stress during what was supposed to be a vacation. I’m glad others have had positive experiences, but based on mine, I cannot recommend this sitter.
