Availability
I currently have a very flexible schedule, as I am looking for a full-time position and therefore have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. This allows me to adapt my availability to the needs of both pets and their owners. 🐶🐱🐰🐷🐠🪶 On Mondays and Wednesdays I attend Danish classes from 9:00–11:35 near Rådhuspladsen, but outside of that time I am very flexible and happy to arrange visits, walks, or pet sitting around your pet’s routine. 🐾⏳ My goal is always to make sure pets receive the time, attention, and care they need while their owners are away. ☺️⌚

When caring for pets, my priority is always to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and secure in their familiar environment. I carefully follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, routines, and any specific needs their pet may have. 💓⏳ I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and comfort level. Some pets love playtime and interaction, while others prefer a calmer presence and their own space. I’m happy to adapt to what makes them feel most relaxed while their owners are away. ♨️✨ Cleanliness and safety are also very important to me. I make sure food areas, litter boxes, and living spaces stay clean and tidy, and I always keep an eye out for anything that could pose a risk to the pet. 👀😊 Communication with owners is something I take seriously as well. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel reassured that your pet is happy and well cared for. 📨😊

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs, routines, or behaviours that I should be aware of. This could include dietary requirements, medications, anxiety triggers, training routines, or anything else that helps me care for them properly. My goal is always to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well understood while you’re away, so the more I know in advance, the better I can tailor my care.
A typical day
A typical day with a pet includes plenty of attention, play, and making sure they stay comfortable in their usual routine. For dogs, this can include walks, sniffing time, play sessions, and relaxing together afterwards. I enjoy adapting activities to each dog’s energy level—whether that means longer walks and enrichment games or a calmer day with shorter walks and lots of affection. 🐶🐾 For cats, I make sure they receive regular feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and interactive play if they enjoy it. I’m also happy to spend quiet time with them so they feel relaxed and not alone while their owner is away. 🐾🐱

I have extensive experience caring for animals and grew up with dogs. I raised two very different dogs, which taught me how to adapt to different personalities and needs. My first dog was a spunky, oversized Golden Retriever (72 cm shoulder height), while my second is an Australian Shepherd / Border Collie / Appenzell Mountain Dog mix who now lives with my parents in Germany. 🐾☺️ Because of her highly intelligent herding breed background, she required a lot of mental stimulation, structured training, and enrichment activities. She loves sniffing games, learning new things, and staying active, so I’m very familiar with engaging energetic and intelligent dogs that need more than just a walk. 🐕⚡ In addition to dogs, I also had a pet parrot (a caique), which unfortunately passed away due to a virus. Because of this experience, I’m also comfortable caring for birds and other feathered friends. 🪶💞 Overall, I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals of different personalities, energy levels, and needs. 😊❤️

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Imelda and would not hesitate to book with her again. From start to finish, Imelda took excellent care of our two fur babies and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She followed all of our instructions very carefully and thoroughly, kept us updated throughout the weekend, and clearly paid close attention to the cats’ needs and routines. We could tell from the updates that they were comfortable, happy, and very well cared for. Imelda also went above and beyond on several occasions, which we really appreciated. When we came home, everything was clean, tidy, and exactly as we had left it and we found our cats happy and well-taken care of. Most importantly, this was the first trip where I, who has hard time separating from my cats during the travels, was genuinely able to relax and enjoy my time away without constantly worrying about my cats.
