For pets who need extra attention
I have been a pet sitter in the Boston/Cambridge area for the past 3 years with experience working with cats, dogs, and birds. I largely work with cats and dogs that might need a little extra attention. Does your furry friend need medicine 3 times a day? I do that. Does your dog have leash aggression or very specific likes and dislikes? I’ve dealt with that too. Separation anxiety? Check! Senior dogs struggling with incontinence? I’m here to help.

I offer pet sitting in my client’s home to keep pets in the environment they feel safest. Before pet sitting for the first time, I will always ask that we meet, take a walk or have a chat with your fur baby present so that we confirm it’s a good fit for everyone. I’m here to learn from you, not run in as an expert or an uncaring sitter.

Ilse was absolutely wonderful sitting for my anxious dog while I was out of town. She handled my dog's reactivity well and gave her lots of care and attention. Ilse was communicative and flexible and I highly recommend their services. I will surely count on them to watch my dog again in the future!

Ilse was so amazing with our reactive (large) dog. She gave very detailed updates and took lots of photos for us. Our dog even had an unexpected health issue before her stay and she administered medication for our dog which she took on rather last minute and I really appreciated it. I am excited to hire her again!!

Ilse was wonderful watching our pets - particularly our anxious dog - over Fourth of July weekend. Super communicative and comfortable giving our pup meds. Even noticed our plants were getting scorched in the heat and needed some refreshment! Will definitely inept be calling her in the future.
I can clearly trace Ilse’s roots with pet care back to our family dog. We had a shih tzu pikapoo mix named Tarnish for 17 years and Ilse was his main caregiver. She would teach him tricks, take him on walks (though he had a lot of leash aggression), take care of him when he was sick and make sure he got out for potty breaks. I was impressed by her patience and resourcefulness as she cared for him as he lost his vision and hearing during his latter years. Ilse is also a super fun pet caregiver and I highly recommend her.

Schedule
Currently, I offer house sitting (taking out trash, plant care, etc), drop ins, pet sitting (2-3 walks, medicine if applicable, feeding, play time), pet walks, and feeding. I can sometimes accommodate last minute bookings and am available most holidays, evenings and weekends. I love pets and will often spend a little extra time with them if you're worried about them being left alone.
Prices include all fees.
