Your dog's fun, easygoing buddy
I grew up with 5 dogs in my grandfather's farm, and I've had my heart open to them ever since. All through my years in Istanbul, I looked out for the street dogs around me. They all have pure of heart, they never ask for more than your care and a bit of warmth. Or sometimes they just want their piece in their space. I found a Husky living on the streets and took her in a few years ago. She stayed with me for about a year and a half while I searched for the right forever home, my apartment was too small for her spirit, and she needed somewhere with a garden, room to roam, and the freedom she deserved. Then I moved to Berlin, and since then I've been the go-to person for my friends' dogs. I've got the patience to read a dog's personality and give them exactly what they need, on their own timeline. I'm easygoing, and dogs tend to pick up on that fast, we usually hit it off within minutes. I'm just as happy tearing around all afternoon as I am settling in for cuddles and a nap. I'll match whatever energy they bring. But more than anything, I want every dog in my care to feel safe, settled, and completely at home🐾

I asked Ilker to look after my cat Ismet while I was away for a few days. He can be a little shy with new people, so I wasn’t sure how he would react, but he warmed up to Ilker much faster than I expected. Ilker was really good at giving him attention without overwhelming him. He kept to his usual routine, spent time with him and sent me a couple of updates while I was away. When I came back, he was completely relaxed and seemed very comfortable around Ilker.
Milo stayed with Ilker for a few days while we were away, and honestly it was such a relief knowing he was with someone he already felt comfortable around. Ilker kept us updated, took him out regularly and made sure he got plenty of attention.
I’ve left my dog Luna with Ilker a few times and she’s always been completely at ease with him. The first time I was a little nervous about leaving her somewhere new, but she settled in with him surprisingly quickly. Ilker is very relaxed with dogs and doesn’t make a big deal out of things. He gives them attention when they want it, takes them out, plays with them and generally just lets them be themselves🙃
Phoebe absolutely loved staying with Ilker! 🥳 Came home happy, well-exercised, and clearly had a great time. It's obvious Ilker genuinely cares, not just watching our companions but actually planning the entire day around them. We’ll be booking again for sure
I’ve known Ilker for quite some time, several years in fact, and I’ve always known him as someone who genuinely loves animals. He’s very caring, patient and attentive, and dogs seem to feel comfortable around him almost immediately. He has looked after my labrador, Lux, many times, sometimes even hosting her for several weeks at a time. I’ve always felt completely comfortable leaving her with Ilker. Cheers!

Schedule
My days are flexible, so pet care slots in naturally rather than being squeezed around a rigid nine to five. I work from home, which means plenty of walks, playtime, and company throughout the day, dogs are never left alone. I can easily adjust to their feeding, walking, and rest routines.

I live in a calm, spacious, dog-friendly home where pets have plenty of space to feel comfortable. I keep things clean and secure, with no open doors or hazards and a comfortable spot for them to rest. I stick to their usual routine so nothing feels unfamiliar, keep them leashed and close on walks, and pay attention to their mood and body language. I let them move at their own pace, give them space when they need it, and keep owners updated with messages and photos so everyone feels at ease.
A typical day
I keep things relaxed and follow the pet’s usual routine. Depending on their energy, we might go for a long walk, play outside in Hasenheide Volkspark, explore the neighborhood or simply hang out at home. I’m happy to match their pace, with plenty of breaks, cuddles and naps in between.
