I have a park in front of my house where I take dogs once a day + they get plenty of excercise in my big backyard. It is very common for pets to be quite anxious in their first day staying at a new place so I will monitor behavior closely and check each pet for level of anxiety and protectiveness and/or aggressive behavior. I love keeping pet parents in the loop of what is going on with their pets and their behavior and I will send photos and videos almost every day if possible. I cannot keep extremely anxious dogs (that constantly cry or bark incessantly for example), destructive or aggressive dogs that can get into fights or harm others or myself. Depending on the situation, I might give a grace period of 48hrs. If behavior doesn't change in 48hrs the parent will be notified they need a new sitter and Rover will of course be notified.

All dogs I receive MUST be CRATE trained. I will initially kennel your pet (only when I am not home, ie. or have to run an errand) to keep them safe and observe behavior via a 24/7 stream/video camera. I like to make sure your baby is hydrated, properly fed and comfortable during their stay. Just let me know your expectations for care or schedule and and we can figure it out! If we ara good fit I will let you know, and if we aren't no harm. We can do a meet up as well! Whatever makes you comfortable. I like doing those at home. I prefer to accommodate two pets at a time max but sometimes I will open my availability to get one more, dogs personalities are like humans, some dogs won't get along and that's normal. Lately, I've been doing a lot of meetups to avoid difficult/aggressive dogs. I had two dogs attack Nico and I don't want that happening ever again. 😔 I have found it's best so I can dedicate time appropriately, I also split dogs for meals. When I am not home, all the dogs (including mine) will stay inside the house away from the elements and safe in my big basement. The basement is separated from the rest of the home with a baby gate. I have two kennels down there, a huge XL kennel for bigger dogs and a medium kennel. Since I have Nico and at times will take care of two dogs and only have two kennels, I will switch who stays in the kennel, depending on prior behavior. That means each dog gets to have a day out the crate while I am out the home to roam only the basement (they can roam the whole house when I am there of course). I do allow this UNLESS they have shown me they are destructive, or too anxious to be left alone to roam. Very anxious and bored dogs tend to be destructive when left alone, again I will monitor and see how much I can trust each dog to behave. I will also observe to see if your pet is prone to accidents when outside the kennel. I don't mind those much, it happens, but if they are sick I will let you know and if they have diarrhea they might need to be removed or we could figure out if they can take medication. I will communicate everything with you. If there's no issues with behavior (or pets getting along) I will invite pets into my bedroom to sleep (I don't take care of cats in my home) so only dogs. Some dogs bite the first night some take longer to warm up, I don't force anything or any interaction. I let your dog be and feel comfortable in my space. I've had a lot of success making pets feel immediately comfortable with me and it creates a special bond during the stay. I want to spend as much time with your pet as I can. They will sleep in my bedroom floor (not on the bed). They might get invited to be in my basement sofa as well (only sofa I allow pets to sleep on, by invitation only). This makes them feel closer to me and makes for a serene night at home where we can cuddle. I will ask you a couple questions to get to know your dog before we book, and to me it's very important that they aren't obsessed with being in my furniture. If you bring their mat (please bring a clean mat) I can bring it in the bedroom. I can also pick or drop your furry baby for a extra fee. I can also stay at your place if you have a guest room, your place is clean and I can bring Nico over (I will bring a kennel for Nico to sleep in and we can figure out the space where I will stay etc). This will be extra as I have to travel to you and get out of the comfort of my home and spend on gas etc. If you can provide with access to use your kitchen, I will bring my own food. For house sitting I can only stay during weekends due to work logistics at the moment. If you have a vacuum I will make sure to clean any dog hair from my pet and your pets as well but I won't do any extra chores besides diligently taking care of your pets. (House sitting isn't an option at the moment though but I can be open to it if all of the above is met, just talk to me). My yard is fenced in. There's a big 6 feet tall fence that separates me and the neighbors behind me. I have two other wire fences about 4 feet tall that overlook the street. If your dog is is the type of dog that will attempt to jump a 4 feet fence then let me know before hand because I will need to let him/her out to potty with a leash on.

A. Please let me know if he/she is reactive on leash. Do you take them to dog parks or pet friendly breweries (I enjoy that sometimes if your dog is well behaved). What type of activities do you do with your pet? B. If you think your dog has a lot of anxiety or they have been diagnosed with separation anxiety, please bring their meds and let me know the dose I need to give him/her. I will have pillow pockets for them but if you have a specific way to provide the medication I will follow any instructions you provide. I can't do injections as I am not trained but can do oral medication. C. Are they good with other dogs? D. Do they get into furniture? E. Are they destructive? F. Are they aggressive or have been aggressive before? G. Any other bad habits I should be aware of? (ie. Do they get into food, are they the type that will jump 6 foot fence) H. What are their sleeping arrangements with you?
A typical day
I have a park right in front of the house that I can take them to and can arrange to take well behaved dogs to Pub Dog, any other dog friendly breweries or to Bear Creek or Red Rocks open space if you allow this. My backyard is huge and dogs can play there as well.

Hello everyone! 👋😊 Update as of July 20th: To all my new customers and recurring. I started a new job July 20th. My new schedule for the following 6 weeks until the end of August is either 8-4pm, 9-5pm, and sometimes 9-6pm. I have Sundays and Tuesdays off always. I lowered my base fee to reflect this new availability. I can provide mid day relief but I cannot book dogs that aren't crate trained, overly anxious or will need constant attention or breaks. If you are new to Rover I can provide an additional $40 discount. Please ask me any questions. We will have a fun discussion about your dog's needs and see if I am a good match. I prefer bookings that are 2+ nights or more so your dog is calm and relaxed by the second night and both Nico and me get to know your pup better. If you still prefer to book just one night...one night stays will be adjusted to +$20 of whatever my rate is at the time. Example, if my nightly rate is $30 + $20 (one night book fee) = $50 is your total plus whatever fees Rover adds on your side. I love meetups. They help us figure out if we will be a good match. If you absolutely cannot meet with me prior to the booking because you have a specific situation, there will be a $15 fee added to the booking. No meetup means that the situp can be way more riskier (hence the extra fee) so it's highly recommended we meet up to make sure we are a match. If your dog ends up being aggressive or a bad match overall because you failed to mention something during our vetting interview that makes him a risk to me and Nico, he will need to be removed. Nico does well with every dog except overly dominant, in your face dogs, aggressive and super anxious dogs or dogs that try to hump him or only want to play 24/7 and can't chill. He does well with both males and females. I don't take care of cats and not taking in Huskies anymore. FYI- If you are new to Rover, let me know and you will receive a $40 dollar Rover coupon! (they must mention you so I can provide this discount manually).- - Bio: I've taken care of a variety of animals and pets since I was a child. I've had pet rabbits, roosters, hens, cockatiels, dogs and cats. I am the proud mamma of my 6yr old Nico, he's a Border Collie Mix with a lot of love to give and lots of energy. I fostered him during the Covid emergency (shelters were full of furry babies that people were leaving) and he stole my heart quickly, I couldn't give him back. He's been my therapy since then. I want to be able to take care of people's pets like my own and I understand that trusting someone with your dogs care can be nerve wracking so I am here to calm your nerves and offer a solution if you need to leave your doggo for a bit. I use Rover's services myself and I've become a believer. I want to give you the same peace of mind that you would feel when you leave your baby with a family or friend. She did a wonderful job watching Atlas. He seemed to be a little anxious the night he stayed, but she communicated consistently to let me know what was going on and the next day Atlas was a lot better. She sent pictures and updates constantly so I knew how my boy was doing.

Idali was really great with our dog even when he had some behavioral issues come up. She was very attentive and communicative and sent lots of pictures during our trip. We appreciate her flexibility and her willingness to go with the flow. We will definitely be using her again!
